Banon Resorts Manali

We have just returned from a 4N/5D stay at the Banon Resort, Manali. Our overall experience has been good and the vacation was a refreshing break from the hot hot Delhi weather. Upon arrival at 9:30AM in the morning after a long and tiring 15 hour road jornuey, we were not really greeted by the staff but made to feel comfortable and offered canned apple juice. We stayed in one of the cottages at Banon for 3 nights in July 2009. The cottage was spacious, clean and well furnished. There was a huge plush bed to sink into and a large living room with a wood burning stove ( though not used in July, but handy in colder months), a dining table and a large sofa. As we were 5 adults, we had two bed rooms and an extra bed in the living room for the not so lucky single fella. We stayed at Banon Resorts when we had gone on vacation to Himachal Pradesh. We visited Kullu, Manali, DHaram shala & Delhousie. We had selected Banon Resort for our stay in Manali after lot of research on the net and we were not disappointed that we selected Banon for our stay. The hotel is strategically located at apprx. 10 minutes walking distance from the main square. I spent 4 nights in Banon resorts during my stay here in December 2008... The experience was truly enjoyable in terms of room, service by staff, food and the package they provided.... It was complete value for money and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to have a great time in Manali...

Hello, I recently have visited Banon resorts at New Hope Orchards, Manali during this month early February 2009. The resort is an excellent 3 star rated category. I would infact take a step ahead and rate it 3 star plus. It has the perfect ambience, hospitality of staff and their warm courtesy to attend guests at any point of time during my stay. The view of the valley from the room where I stayed was absolutely fantastic. They also have an open air restaurant which serves good delicious indian food. I stayed here for 4 days and find excellent service. The room staff is well mannered and very helpful. Food is awesome, so we decided not to look anywhere else. Rooms are very big and not much decorated though provided every comfort. My room has 2 balconies and provided good view of the mighty Himalya. Bathroom is clean and having all the amenities but small in area. This is the only negative point there.

I stayed here 2 nights in September. Lovely area, nice gardens. My room had a little balcony. Very nice food, service was good. The room was large with a lounge, working TV and double bed. Although everything was fine, the bathroom was a little dirty and hot water wasn't really hot enough. The room was musty. Then again, given that this was rural India- any other hotel would probably have been about the same or worse.

We arrived in Manali recently, only planning on staying for one night and then continuing to Leh, but once we checked into our cottage, sat back and relaxed on the wicker chairs on the balcony overlooking the Himalayas, we knew we had found heaven. I wish I was still there. The beauty of their grounds is unmatched in Manali. It is peaceful, relaxing and relatively cheap. We negotiated a rate of 2500rs (about $60usd) per night. Our stay at Banon was very comfortable. We had booked a suite. Only after staying there for a day we realized the Standard deluxe rooms are better located & of course are cheaper than the suite. The view of the hills from the balcony is great. The bathrooms were clean & spacious with bathtub but were slightly poorly lit. The best part of the hotel was fantastic, delicious food & very prompt room service. The restaurant room extends into a huge open balcony & this is where we enjoyed our breakfasts.
