Alpina Phuket Nalina Resort & Spa

My husband and I just got back from Thailand and loved the Alpina Phuket! Our room was gorgeous, hardware floors, plasma TV, rain shower in the bathroom etc. Try to get one of the rooms that walks out to the pool, they're amazing! The hotel isn't on the beach but a little bus takes you there everyday and there are reserved chairs for Alpina guests and an attendant to set-up an umbrella for you. All the staff were really accomodating and the food was good. Would definitely return.

We found this hotel through one of the many Phuket web sites through Google, and thought we would check it out both on Tripadvisor and the hotels direct web site. Firstly, let it be known that this hotel blew our expectations away, both in value and beauty. If you have been to Phuket, you will know that many hotels have Tuk Tuks waiting on the doorstep to hassle you. Not the case here, as the hotel has a private courtyard. A wonderful hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. We stayed here for 6 nights and enjoyed every night. Rooms - We stayed in the Nalina Jazz rooms with direct access to the pools. Facilities in the room were excellent. - No complaints !. Location - The hotel is ideally located approx 15 min walk to the main area with bars and restaurants. My husband & I stayed here for 4 nights in November. Hotel was lovely, new, clean and staff very friendly. We stayed in a Jazz Pool room with direct access to the pool which was great. The rooms were a nice size and lovely bathroom with great shower. No bath though. Please note that I have ready in previous reviews about the 'hard' beds - I must agree. This was our third resort in Phuket on our recent trip and not the most luxurious we had stayed in but very nice all the same. I feel semi-bad about the 2 thumbs up I gave but the trip advisor rating summed it up “OK but some problems”. ROOM We stayed in a Nalina Jaz room with pool access. Very nice to be able to walk out on to your balcony and just slip into the pool. We spent most of our time on the balcony and in the pool. Room was very nice. Generous in size. This hotel/resort is wonderful! I would recommend this place to everyone and anyone going to Phuket. The hotel is located in Kata Beach which is a lovely beach. The hotel's pool is fantastic and sometimes I had the entire pool to myself. The service was great and the room was amazing - my room overlooked the pond and the pool. The beds are soooo comfy! Super huge bathroom. Complementary internet use was a nice touch too!!! I'll stay here again for sure!

Stayed 5 nights at this resort. Was low season so the hotel was rather empty. Stayed in a Jaz room with direct access to a pool on the first storey, with some chairs on your balcony if you just want to sit back and relax. The main pools are beautiful, room was well furnished and comfortable with a King bed, LCD TV and bathtub. Service was excellent at this resort and the staff are most helpful. Great new mid-size hotel, nestled among houses and other small shops on a relatively small plot of land in the town of Kata. Kata is a quieter part of Phuket, with a nice stretch of beach. This is in contrast to the over-commercialized, highly frenetic Patong (think bars, pubs, touts, working girls...) Hotel room has nice fittings and layout, though there are still a few rough edges. It was a little difficult at first to locate the hotel as not many taxi drivers knew of its location. It's been operating for 5 months or so and has a beautiful contemporary with hint of Thai style in all rooms. All rooms are beautifully presented and the villa is to dye for (if you have no budget limits). As we stayed in low season, the hotel was pretty quiet. My husband and I have just returned from a two-week holiday to beautiful Thailand for our first year wedding anniversary in June 2007. We stayed at Alpina for the first leg of our trip for 3 nights and were impressed with the beauty around us. The hotel is gorgeous and contemporary and we have never experienced such incredible service before.
