Hotel San Francisco

Having read both good and bad reports concerning this hotel we decided to give it a go. Hotel rooms are average size and kept spotlessly clean, the food was of a good quality with adequate selection available. We found only two members of staff to be pleasant the rest were simply rude and arrogant. The quality of entertainment was very poor and never started on time. hi there hope this helps you chose your holiday, salou is mainly a family holiday not really for the groups or singles. a little bit more expensive than my previous holidays between £8 and £10 for two drinks. also the streets are not very clean, beaches are great though. as for the hotel its clean and maid service every day. large swimming pool is okay but small pool was very grubby. meals were mainly the same every night not much of a variety did not really cater food wise for the united kingdom. this hotel is mainly catering for... more

Just back on Friday from Salou. Need to explain that this trip was booked just for a quick break in the sun and to take our daughter to Port Adventura. Would have been very disappointed with this hotel if it was my main holiday. Firstly the rooms are tiny but I have to admit they are spotless and do have a maid service and fresh towels every day. 4 of us stayed here in June 2007 ranging from 22 years to 78 years and we all had a great time. The hotel was very clean, food was excellent with lots of choice, staff very friendly and helpful. The pool and jacuzzi is great and cleaned every day. If you want a quieter room book for a pool view room on a higher floor as the rooms round the road side looked on to a very noisy hotel. Me and my boyfriend stayed here in June this year for 2 weeks and had a great time! The location was brilliant, near all the bars and near to a great little beach which was a lot quieter than the main beach in Salou. The tour operator's website did say that the hotel could be quite nosy so we were expecting it - we did notice it on the first night as our room was above a busy bar but after the first night it didnt bother us. Brilliant Hotel but lots of spanish and germans but they are no trouble! Maids changed towels and bed linen EVERY day basically cleaned the whole of your room!! Air conditioning was ace so you could sleep, no loud music keeping you up all night. Hotel staff were great ! very friendly and helpful. Looking at the other reviews left for this hotel i think they were left by the "old folk" who should go to morecombe for there holiday!! If i were to go back i would stay here again! 10/10

was there 1 week an food was terrible cutlery and cups,plates were dirty food was warm not hot and half cooked staff were not helpful and on last day we only got 1hour in a room to shower 12 people with towels that someone else used before us we all ended up with upset stomachs an stomach cramps probably due to the food in this hotel we will not be back there

This is an awful hotel the staff were unfriendly. The pool area is dirty and the restaurant appalling. I spent one week there from 4 Sep and I have never stayed in such an awful place. The crockery and cutlery in the restaurant was dirty as was the floor. The food was unpalatable and luke warm. My husband along with a number of other people spent a few days in their hotel room suffering from severe upset stomachs. i really liked this hotel being young and wanting great night life and a buzzing atmosphere it was really good its based in the centre of salou very very close to all the shops and bars just below are a row of different resturants so no matter what your food taste there will be somthing there for you. Because its based very much in the centre i wouldnt recommend it as much for families with small children because it did get quite noisey at night.
