Euro Esqui Hotel Reviews
" Would definitely recommend this hotel... "
Submitted By: Mr J Sales
Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Andorra.
Taxi fares to Soldeu bars can be a little erratic, but the walk is only a brisk 20 minutes.
Shuttle service to gondola was very reliable and punctual. Leisure facilities exceeded expectations and the pool and sauna very relaxing after long day skiing.
Hotel staff were friendly throughout our stay and rooms were very clean.
Plenty of variety of food and dining area very spacious and well run.

" The Euro Esqui is a comfortable warm... "

The Euro Esqui is a comfortable warm hotel with its own spa. Its rooms are a reasonable size with modern furnishings. It stands a little on its own somewhere between Soldeau and El Tarter but one of its plus points is that has its own transport to the main gondola in El Tarter. The minibus transport runs constantly from 8.30 onwards and starts again in the afternoon from 3.p.m.
All however is not great in this so called four star Hotel.
the food whilst plentiful, resembles little more than canteen fodder. In this day and age packet soup is quite unforgivable and when teamed with frozen chips, charmingly few fresh veg and desserts in the main consisting of lurid coloured jelly then one wonders why it gained its four stars.
The staff in the main are young and friendly although the reception staff are not particularly efficient, it taking them two days to turn on BBC channel pay to view.
The ski area comprising Grand Valira is now quite splendid and in my opinion equals most resorts in France. Prices are more than competitive and the resort appears to be family friendly.
One point to watch for is the rather tedious transfer from Toulouse. At best this takes a good three hours and in our case on a day of heavy snow and an avalanche in Pas De La Casa, it took six hours to drive via Perpignan and Spain, this after being kept at the airport for three hours with no information forthcoming from Thomson staff.
Ultimately, we will definitely return. The scenery makes you glad to be alive and the locals make tourists feel special.

Its 5 mins on the bus too the gondola....but on the first day of ski school make sure you get there early.....
The only downside i will add is that the food, in particular the evening meal is not great, great selection but very limited too what children in particular will eat...
But all in all the hotel is brilliant, booked again for next year!!!!
