We enjoyed our holiday despite the resorts shortcomings. A major disappointment was the closeness of the sunbeds, most of the time you had to slide to the end of your sunbed as you couldn't fit between each one.The accommodation was clean and comfortable. We went all... more

Ab Fab!!!
Having had the resort recommended by my wife's parents, 15 people (including my inlaws, so spanning 3 generations) spent 14 nights at this BRILLIANT resort. 7 of our night were as a result of the disruption due to the volcanic eruption. During the "stress free" first week we all had a great time. Nice, comfortable apartment style rooms, good selection of food (we stayed All Inclusive), frienly helpful staff, great pools. In fact the Reception staff, the Animacion team, the Catering staff, the Restaurant staff and the Bar staff were ALL... more
A Lovely Stay For Anyone
We were very nervous about staying here after reading some dodgy reviews, but thankfully, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very helpful and smiley. There are themed nights at the restaurant 3/4 times a week, including BBQ & Italian. Being a fussy eater, I stuck to salads all week, but there were always plenty varieties of meats and cheeses available to make it more interesting. My boyfriend, the open minded one, got stuck into everything and thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was ideal. A nice kitchen, balcony, big bedroom, on... more
lovely complex friendly staff lovely holiday
just got back from 5 days at this complex had a lovely time. gonna book for the new year break. the complex is away from the main town but with young children that was fine. taxis always outside 5 euros into town if needed. we went all inclusive the food was non-stop from breakfast, fruit by the pool, toastie sandwiches, lunch, afternoon cakes icecream and then evening meal. we did go into town one teatime/evening for dinner just for a change and also to see the town and beach. we stayed in a one bedroom apartment which had a downstairs... more
Excellent staff and restaurant food.
Have just returned from 1 week at this hotel, read reviews before going so was a bit worried about how we would get on! Yes it is about 1/2 hr walk from playa de las americas but this is all downhill or flat on the way down back up is a bit different!! There are alot of steps in the hotel but there are ramps all around as well. The food is excellent in this hotel, at first you think the food area is small but the chefs are bringing fresh food out all the time. They quite often cook food while u wait as well. There was 1 heated pool but... more
Paradise At The Oasis!
"We found our accomodation superb, it was clean, spacious with ceiling fans in both bedrooms and lounge, the whole complex was constantly being cleaned and hosed down and was generally well kept. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and helpful. We took the advantage and paid for all-inclusive and were so pleased we did as the food was plentiful and of a good standard. There was a bus supplied by the hotel twice a day for free which took you to the local beach. The complex probably has one down side to it which was the amount of steps... more
love tenerife but wouldnt stay in this hotel again
nice hotel and the staff are friendly , too far away from shops and resturants to go self catering we went all inclusive and although the food was nice enough it was very repetitive and not alot of choice for kids .The beer pump seemed to go off quite alot and they only do sandwiches witch you can toast for snacks no chips or burgers. the pools were nice and always some sun loungers free , there was always something for the kids to do and the nightly entertainment kept our kids happy ide give it 8 out of ten but wouldnt go back just because... more
excellent place
well were can i start after reading the reviews before we came i was a bit worried we started off self catering so we had to walk about 20 minuets to find somewere to eat, but as the weather was hot it was to much for the kids so we decided to upgrade to all inclusive the food was out of this world, with having 2 picky eaters we found different choices every night the staff are very friendly and helpfull the first choice reps were great ace adam/ princess aman/ granny abbey/zig zag zoe/ladybird leonie and smiley sarah these people need a... more
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK INTO JAIL. MORE COMFORT THERE!!
believe me the title says it all. this resort is 1 or 2 star at best. it has a plaque displaying 3 keys outside. there is no restaurant, it is at best a noisy understaffed canteen, serving repetitive, sloppy food. we had to clean our own tables when we did eat there, most of the time we walked out hungry and got a cab to las americas to eat a proper meal. the whole complex is a farce from start to finish, with uncomfortable chairs, pikey plastic garden tables and chairs to sit on to view the 'night time entertainment' set on a 10ft sq deck... more
Great holiday!
Had a really good time at the Gran Oasis, however it is quite far out and if you want to go into Las Americas you will need to get a taxi which will cost you around 8 euros. Tenerife itself is fairly quiet. The hotel is lovely, very clean and tidy with lots of entertainment going on day and night. Big thanks to Renata who is bubbly and friendly all the time, along with Vincent and Sonia who do a great job. The First Choice reps are fab, in particular Adam and Anam who kept my children entertained day and night! The only downsides are... more
Very good value all inclusive
just come back from a week with Thomas Cook and we were really surprised with the value for money and standard of the hotel. There's lots of space around the complex and you're just a short taxi journey into the heart of Playa De Las Americas if you want something a bit livelier. A great place to relax and soak up the sun
Lovely views
After reading the previous reviews, I have to agree that the views from our roof terrace were wonderful. Beware of the walk to town , seems closer than it is, especially in the heat. There is a courtesy bus from Hotel, but last bus to town is at 5 O'Clock and as a family of five we required 2 taxis, and up and down everyday can dig deep into your holiday money. The apartments were not the cleanest I have stayed in but to be honest I went out and purchased some cleaning material and after that I was happier. You really need to... more
Poor resort.
We booked a two week holiday staying at the Oasis Golf Resort for July 2006. The resort was advertised as a Four Star Plus resort by First Choice. I would rate it as a Three Star overall but nearer One star for cleanliness. We wanted a relaxing holiday with our ten week old son. The resort looked lovely and relaxing in the brochure and First Choice Holidays recommended it as a place for families. We arrived at the resort at 23.15 and was shown our room. We discovered that out welcome pack which had cost us £15.00 was not there. So... more
