Parque Cristobal

The bungalows itself were big and spacious .fan broke mainttence was good. But the lady , karin , on reception was not friendly to british people .Complex was more for german and spanish than english, they wasnt very friendly. Also quite allot of cokroaches

After reading previous reviews of Parque Cristobal we left for our holiday with high expectations and I am happy to report that we were not disappointed. Following a much delayed flight on a budget airline, we arrived at reception well past midnight but were delighted to be met with a smile and shown through to the dining room for something to eat and drink. Arrival Upon arrival at Parque Cristobal (late) the reception were more than friendly. As we were all inclusive, they offered left over food from the buffet, a great bonus when you come off a long flight. The night security showed us to our bungalow. Lodge A few minor issues found in the lodge when we got in, fan not working, and a non closing window, but upon reporting to the reception, they were promptly fixed. Myself and a few friends had a fantastic time in these bungalows. They are situated just a short stroll from the popular Jumbo centre. The cleanliness was impressive and they are very modern and fresh looking inside. Whilst i was swimming in the pool i found a piece of personal jewelry. After exhaustive attmempts to reunite this with the owner during my stay i have decided to add this here. My familiy would highly recommend this hotel. It was perfect for us and our two children, 2,5 years and 5 months. We traveled wtih three other families and we got bungalows beside each other, close to the playground. The hotel area was always clean and nice. It was a quiet area, within walking distance to Ingles shoppingarea. The bungalows var niceley renovated, clean and spacious. The staff was smiling and very helpful. Really enjoyed our five day break here at Parque Cristobal! The site has about 230 bungalows which from what i saw are very clean and comfortable. Every bungalow has its own little kitchenette and all basic appliances that you may need. There are two pools, one larger than the other but both extremely clean. Each pool has its own bar area with pool tables, air hockey etc around which are fine. I've stayed here 24 years ago with my parents. This time we returned with our daughter + my parents. We had one 3 room appartment and one 2 room appartment. We had the best holiday ever. The people here do everything to make you happy and are enjoying their job. Everything is clean ! The food is great and fresh. Only negative thing I can remember is the family-club which is way too loud and all in German. There is also a Parque Cristobal on Tenerife of the same "group" so maybe next time we go there. Arrived here at 10 30 at night and besides the 1 person in reception there wasnt a soul in sight.we had a 2 bedroom bungalow as there were 5 of us in total, there was 2 pools one big pool by reception and a smaller one that was closed off due to the building of a new bar/restaurant .we had a bungalow by the main pool which was nice though very noisey early in the morning so no lie in. Good : The bungalows are great, and depending on your location (i.e. far away from main pool area which is very noisy) it could be a lovely relaxing holiday. Front desk have a star in form of Karin - she was brilliant and so helpful. Bad : This hotel appears to be a huge destination for German families, and without being mean it suffered as a result. We're from Switzerland, family of 3: First: I think it doesn't belong to the Riu group anymore but it doesn't matter. They just finished some major renovation before we arrived, the property overall was in good shape. 2 pools, children club, nice entertainment area. We didn't hung around the pool daytimes, it's not our thing (and yes, this hotel features those towel war games....). There are 2 grocery shops in walking distance (spar and a local one). Beaches are quite far away, there is a shuttle bus but Taxis are only € 3.00.<br... more
