Hotel Palladium

We stayed in the Palladium in January for two nights and found the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently situated and although a little old fashioned suited a short stay. My only complaint was the ill fitting windows, which rattled alarmingly in any sort of wind. Previous occupants had jammed pieces of paper, card and cigarette packets into the gaps to try and cut the noise down.

Friendly efficient staff. Just the job for a moderately priced city break.

Can't really add anything new to the previous reviews - but because the staff were so good I'm happy to make the effort. I've stayed in smarter hotels. I've stayed in hotels with more facilities. But I haven't stayed in any as good value for money. At first the hotel looked a bit on the old side - very 1970s - but the room we had was spotless - not luxury but excellent value for money. On leaving the Airport the No 1 bus will take you virtually to the front door of this hotel for a mere £1.25. The hotel is clean and is a good point for access the to old town, local train and bus stations all are within easy walking distance (about 15 minutes). Standard continental breakfast is all that is provided in the way of food, however within a short walking distance there are plenty of Tapas, cafes, restaurants, bars and small supermarket. The Palladium was certainly clean, comfortable and centrally located... but none of the reviews warned us that staying there would be like going back to the Seventies! Some of the decor was fantastic including a curvy walled lift and a kind of glass walled garden off the dining room. Overall a good place to stay in Palma - close to some lovely shops and bars (we recommend the Pub Chapeau, just down the road from the Palladium). Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the Palladium for a short break in Palma at the end of November. An excellent choice for a city break - good location, pleasant rooms, good continental breakfast, friendly staff and at a reasonable price. Would certainly recommend.

We stayed at the Palladium in September for a long weekend. The location was really a plus: right on the spot. Since we had a room at the back the views of the cathedral were amazing. The staff was really helpful, the room was clean & comfortable, and breakfast was served until 11 so we could enjoy sleeping (it's a great sense of holiday).The best value for money - would definitely recommend it.

We spent 4 nights at the palladium on our first trip to Palma. Great location, superb view to the cathedral , a charming crew at the reception desk and a premium on the "techie" department side: accessing the wireless network with my bluetooth enabled Tungsten to check the weather forecast while waiting for a cab was reallya plus: palm users like me are more than willing to find out that some hotels take such full care of their guests.

Very friendly staff are the bonus for a hotel which is clean and comfortable. It is situated about 10 minutes walk from the main attractions of Palma, but has some vibrant streets full of shopping and restaurant opportunities on its doorstep. A pleasant five minute stroll along the canal leads to the contemporary art gallery and the seafront. Easy access location to the city center; friendly multi-lingual staff; nice breakfast. Hotel had all the necessary items and everything was in good working order. We will happily return.
