Grupotel Port d'Alcudia

The hotel it's self is well maintained, clean and the rooms are very spacious. We were suprised as some three star hotels abroad can be a bit dodgy but this was very pleasant. The only downsides were not really the hotel's fault but worth mentioning anyway. 1) The amount of children - Each year we purposefully go away out of the school holiday period to avoid very busy resorts. Myself and a friend stayed in this hotel the first week of september. The staff are very good and are very friendly. it was very clean. We stayed in the studio apartment and was spacious enough. the only down side was the noise of the disco across the street but seems to only open from thursday until the weekend. I would recommend this aparthotel and will go back to it again as alcudia is such a lovely resort. :-)

Just got back from a week self catering, had a great time as this is not the usual type of holiday we go for, we usually go all inclusive. Hotel itself was very clean, rooms quite small but were big enough (2 adults and 2 children), air conditioning good. Pools were great for small children as large pool was shallow all around the edge and there is also a seperate childrens pool, park and kids club area all situated in sight around the pool. On reflection our stay in Alcudia was OK. Be warned however, that the resort is very child friendly and if you're travelling as a couple, which we were, you can feel a little suffocated at times!! The hotel it's self was fine, we had a lovely big room, as it can easily sleep 4. The self catering equipment was sparce, but as we'd planned to eat out each night the kitchen was ample for breakfast/snack lunch. We stayed at this hotel with our daughter, almost 3 years old. The best things about this hotel were: - The fact that it is close to the beach - The pools, nice, big enough and lots of sunbeds - The fact that it was in between the "dollar street" and the port. Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Could not fault it in any way. We stayed half board with plenty of brilliant food. Hotel was spotless and staff really friendly nothing was too much trouble. Not far from beach, no need to put towels on sunbeds of a morning as there was plenty to go round. As far as Germans go there was 95% British and a couple of Swedish families staying at the hotel. Just got back from 7 nights staying at the Port D'Alcudia hotel. I thought it was in a great location, being all of 5 mins from the beach. The hotel itself is definitely of 3 star class. Rooms are furnished in a very basic style and if you're going self catering (like we were) prepared to be creative with only two hobs to work with and no oven! I've just got back from a week at Puerto do Alcudia, the hotel is nice, the rooms are clean and the staff speak good english and are friendly. The hotel is about 95% German, is that a problem? Well it is if you want to get a sunbed! I also found them very rude, but maybe I'm not so friendly towards them. The road between the hotel and the beach is a death trap, it's more of a dual carriageway and the spanish are not the safest drivers at the best of times. On arrival at this hotel our first impressions were very good. We were quickly served at the reception as we were the only ones from our coach to get off. Once checked in we made our way to the small lift and were barged out the way by Germans! Once we made it to our room we found it had all the basic utilities including, fridge, hob, shower, air conditioning and tv with no remote (you could hire this from reception! We have just come back from a 8 day stay at the Gruphotel Port De Alcudia in Alcudia Majorca. Was supposed to be ten days but MyTravelLite decided to make it shorter!
