Well, where do I start, the Fairmont hotel chains are all over the world, and are all first class. This hotel was so huge I cannot describe it, other than saying it was straight out of a pure fairytale.
It is based virtually on top of the Emerald Lake - a huge expanse of water, which was frozen solid when we where there, complete with an ice castle in which we saw two weddings take place - they have an ice rink, a horse and sleigh rides around the perimeter of the lake and snow shoeing and ice climbing. We actually went to ski and the Lake Louise Ski area is world class, they normally kick of the super g and downhill world cup skiing comps each year.
Back to the hotel, it is so luxurious including the rooms and the food was second to none, the service incredible and all the staff were so friendly, everywhere!
We have already booked to go back!
