Oh dear Sheraton. You have dropped a real clanger here. Look, this is a 5 star resort, and I know it was October ( albeit half term in the UK) and we had some below average weather, but what we encountered was scandalous for the price and for the fact no one told us beforehand that this place would be virtually shut down! The 7 night stay with my partner and her young daughter was an absolute joy. Upon our arrival, a wonderful lady named Ana made such a positive and genuine impression that she set the scene for a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Our room was a 'Garden' view but due to full occupancy, overlooked a hotel car park. This didn't really matter as there was so much for us to do and enjoy in the venue that we spent little time in our room - which also was really comfortable. Wow! What a fabulous hotel - pure luxury. My boyfriend andI stayed at The Sheraton Hotel for a week and felt that we had touched gold with the whole package. The rooms were very spacious, clean with a huge bathroom and balcony area. Breakfast was plentiful, varied and fresh. We booked on a BB basis, admittedly the food in the other restaurants was quite expensive but if you stay at the best you expect to pay a premium. This is a wonderful place especially if you have children but it is expensive. Terrific facilities, lovely gardens and a magnificent beach.

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 nights at the new Surfal apartments (20-30 Sept) - and would like to be going back again very soon! I would agree with previous reviews on the 5-star quality of the apartment (granite kitchen tops; 3 plasma TVs, huge ensuite, 3 balconies, tasteful decor, well equipped kitchen and utility areas etc etc) and entire resort (the gym at Pine Cliffs is great). We booked to stay in the newest apartments (the Surfal apartments have only been open to the public for 6 weeks). We had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a utility room. The apartment came with a washing machine, dryer, iron/board, microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer, 3 plasma screens, air conditioning and so on. Have just come back from a week in a Townhouse with my wife and 2 children (1 & 3). I booked the holiday through an agent Design Holidays, who I won't be using again - but that's another story. The Pine Cliffs resort is absolutely huge, and very nice. The townhouses are spacious, but certainly not too child friendly in my opinion with absolutely nothing at all provided on arrival -such as plastic cups / plates, dishwasher tablets, dishcloths, washing up liquid etc which would have been handy as we arrived at Midnight. I stayed at this superb hotel with my wife for a week from Easter Monday and can only HIGHLY recommend it. I booked it through expedia after reading good reviews on tripadvisor.com. Expedia quoted British Pounds 125 / room (cheapest option) with breakfast for two which was the best deal I could find on the web. We enjoyed one week in November 2004 at the pine cliffs residences. This is our second time after September 2002. Why will we return to this resort? We have now stayed twice at the Sheraton Pine Cliffs resort (July this year and last) and would highly recommend it. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with excellent facilities. The hotel itself is of Moorish design, based around a series of gardens and courtyards. There are two excellent freshwater outdoor pools and a fabulous indoor pool complex.
