myself and my wife have been here twice now and wouldn,t dream of going anywhere else in turkey i am going back next summer for my 50th birthday and taking a few friends aswell so here,s to meeting all the wonderful staff next year keep up the good work

We couldn't find fault with the Agar Appartments, the staff were excellent, the food great and the prices very reasonable. Nike works like a trooper and is always pleased to see you. The whole complex is kept really clean. We went late in the season and still had a fantastic time. I would recommend Agar and will definitely go back.

we went to the agar apartments end of july for two weeks and it was amazing bob and nike are ace, bob cant play darts but thinks he can. nike will do anything for you proper gent. i cant wait to g back trying to get booked fo same time again. they love g star across there... more

we stayed at this hotel in july for 2 weeks.the hotel itself is very clean and the staff friendly.the maids do a wonderful job ,we came in to find our bed decorated with fresh flowers from the garden it was lovely.we had 2 kids with us (14) & (11) who had a great time at the hotel especially around the pool with the staff all taking part in the mad half hour(as we called it).as for Gumbet itself we didnt find a lot to do and as our kids love karaoke it was very disappointing on that side as the karaokes up in bar street dont have any life in them before midnight.The one thing we did enjoy was the trips we booked.we booked them all with lesley from otan tours on the corner of bar street.she is scottish and her husband chetten is a lovely guy we went scuba diving and went on a boat trip onboard lesley & chettens own boat.they really made it a great day for us as it was our daughters 11th birthday and lesley even went to the bother of getting us a birthday cake for her.we had friends went with our boat trips who paid 3 times what we paid and didnt have half the lunch we had or the room on the boat to move around as lesley and chetten only take a maximum of 19 people on their boat so you have loads of room.i highly recommend if you are going to book any tours to book with them as you get great value for money.and tell them the family from cumnock sent you. If you value yourself i would certainly recommend that you DO NOT go anywhere near Gumbets own sunday market as we found it pretty scary.we found bar street very expensive and would certainly warn anybody going there to stay away from the OUR restaurant as we very ripped off big style in there.only after you order your food from the menu do they tell you chips salad and anything else you expect to get with your meal are all extra and are not actually included with your meat or whatever else you order.however we did find a very good restaurant used by the locals if you turn right at the top of the street it is straight across the road from the pilic market(chicken rotisserie).if we did return to gumbet we would certainly go back to this hotel but i dont think this is likely as we prefer marmaris.

just spent two weeks at the agar apartments and loved every minute. the apartments were spotless the staff were really good they interacted with everyone, we had a good time throwing them in hte pool, they were really helpful as well if you needed anything they would go out of their way to help you. would highly recommend anyone to go to the agar apartments you wont be disappointed ,we would go again.

We booked this last minute and having just arrived back today, needed to tell all this place is great! Small family run hotel apartments, spotless clean rooms and surroundings. Fantastic little touches from cleaning staff make a difference. Pool is central to life here, EVERYONE ends up being dunked several times a day!! :) Staff wonderful with kids (youngsters and teens). Restaurant is great and resonable. Other food places within easy walk (turn right at top of road away from "Bar Street" for best deals. The one opposite the Chicken Rottise' is absolutly brilliant and superb value (check out the constant changing starter bread course - for free!!). Bar can get noisy at night till early morning, light sleepers beware! BUT overall an absolutly fantastic place that I would not hesitate to return to or recommend. Thanks to all the staff for making this a great holiday.

we had two weeks in the agar beginning of may 2005 it was great the staff have mostly changed since last year but are just as good, bar manager tom is great (liverpool fan) played some great music and was happy to get thrown in the pool at least 4 times daily. arsene the barman is a bit quieter but a nice guy, the two girls who clean are great ,flowers on the bed and towels in all sorts of patterns .the food is fine but there is a fantastic choice just down the road.we went to the turkish night not something we normally do but had a great time loads of food and entertainment ,finally say hello to tom and the crew from keith and tricia ask him did his mobile ever dry out .ps it wasn't me!!

My husband me and the two boys stayed in this place in August of last year and we had the best holiday ever, the staff were brilliant and Omar was a complete nutter, he had so much energy, most nights we drank til about four in the morning and if I woke early about 6.30am he would still be dancing around, all of the staff were brilliant to us and the atmosphere was great, we did not want to leave.

My boyfriend and I spent 2-weeks at the Agar Apartments in August this year. We were very impressed with all services that were provided and offered to us during our stay and the friendliness of all members of staff made it extra special. It is worth a trip to Gumbet simply to meet Omar, the Bar-man at the Apartments. He is simply CRAZY and full of energy 24/7. He loves to entertain everybody, from young children to the grown adults.He gets everybody laughing. Tommy, the new bar-man is following in his footsteps! Mustafa, the receptionist, who is studying to become an English teacher is very friendly and loves to store as many girls numbers on his phone as possible during the summer season. Hes lovely!Tolga, the waiter is a character of his own. He comes across as the quieter member of the team but after spending a few days by the poolside, you soon realise that he's not. He likes to dance with Omar by the poolside and help out with throwing people in the pool whenever theres the opportunity. The apartments are well located, not right in the centre of Gumbet but not too far out. This makes it a great family holiday destination. Gumbet has many family bars that provide entertainment 7-days a week as well as the more lively clubs and bars for the youngsters. There are many restaurants all around Gumbet that offer great meals for nearly nothing but the restaurant at Agar is just as good. There is a wide selection of meals on the menu and again, they are very reasonable. The Agars favourite tunes are Usher "yeah", the cha-cha slide,Black Eyed Peas "shut Up" and the best (for adults ears only) has to be "Yogy Bear". I hope this review is helpful to all those thinking of spending a holiday at the Agar Apartments!

These apartments are fantastic. The best in Gumbet from what I could see. They are so clean and all the staff take great pride in their work. You should all be very proud of yourselves. I have never visited the same resort the following year and I didn't think Gumbet was up to much but I would go back to these apartments just to see everyone again. Omar, the barman, was an absolute nutter but very nice - you will laugh alot. Tolga, the waiter, a bit quieter but also very nice. I don't think he's as shy as he makes out! Mustafa, works in reception because his English is better (studying to be an English teacher in Turkey) was a lovely good looking young man and I'm sure all of the girls will fall in love with him.

Just came back from Gumbet and what a great time we had there. The staff at the Agar apartments were wonderful very kind and friendly too. My two children were also made to feel welcome which is always a bonus when on holiday. The accomodation was first class towels and linen were changed regularly and the apartment was cleaned every day. The location was also very good not to close to all the nightlife but not to far away either. 10 out of 10 would definately go back there.
