Reviews of Agar Apartments, Gumbet

I wrote a review last year about our stay at the Agar and still say that it was the best holiday we ever had. Much to say that we visited when we were there this year although we were staying in Altinkum and the hospitality from Elvan, Mary, Fatimah, Naill and Bob and the lovely Nike was amazing. Thank you so very much. You are a credit to your country, And isn't Safiye beautiful (Elvan and Marys daugher, what a cutie)



Reading some of the reviews (all good as they should be) I must point out that I totally disagree that Bob only favours big families, what a load of rubbish, what has he to gain from that!!!!! We were a family of three and he was the same with us as he was with larger groups. And so what you had to buy your toilet rolls, a small price to pay for such a lovely setting, lovely apartments, fantastic people, fantastic guests and overall top holiday.



A big 10 out of 10 from us. So sorry that we could not make it back but will very soon,

The Agar apartments are definatley the best aparments we have stayed at in turkey, They are kept to a very high standard the rooms were spotless and so was the pool area and gardens. The food was also very good and great value, another great place to eat is the columbia steak house! The staff are all great at the agar especially Nike and Bob. All in all this is a great place to stay for anyone, it's nice and peaceful but only 5 mins walk into gumbet or 10 mins at the most on a dolmus into bodrum, i would definatley stay here again!

My boyfriend Alan & I stayed at the Agar in Aug this year, one week was just not long enough! We had a fantastic time. Been to Turkey before but Gumbet is definately the best resort so far. The Agar apartments were great, from the cleanliness of the apartments to the friendly staff, especially Nike, lovely young man, very kind and so shy and would do anything for you. The apartments are situated in a quiet location, but a short 5-10 minute walk would get you to the centre where there is something to suit everyone.



The people we met who were there at the same time as us were all great, everyone spoke to everyone, it was just a great atmosphere and what a laugh we all had! I was so sad n our last night, I just did not want to go home! I miss all the people we met.



Definately going back to the Agar next year, it was truly a fantastic holiday. We both loved it and would recommend these apartments to anyone!

Just back today and definately have post holiday blues.

From start to finish we had the most fantastic holiday. The apartments are brilliant. They are clean, modern and the thing that made it for us was the the staff are so friendly.

Bob the barman is nuts but supplied the best holiday soundtrack ever and we left out legacy by intoducing him to Abba!

Dont be fooled by Nike's shyness, he is great fun! He came out of his shell and we met some of his turkish friends, a really top bloke.

Turkish night is a must, great value for money and a lot of fun.

We are already booking for next year, the best holiday ever!!!

Apartments are excellent, words cannot express. They are very clean and so spacious.

Our room looked over the pool, which was also an advantage.

The staff are all very friendly, but Bob only focused on on "big" family.

He did not really speak much after we did not go to "Turkish Night"

Nike and the Maids are so hard working, very helpful.

The Pool is also to a high standard, it was very warm and so clean. We were in it everyday, since it was too hot to go out and walk :)

Sunbeds was an issue, with guests as people reserve them at night. But we never had a problem getting 3.

The food is also great, I would defiantly give it a try.

The location is also great, as it is just 2 minutes walk from the bus stop and a 5 minute walk into the centre of Gumbet.



[The only thing I did not like is you had to pay for Toilet Tissue] Which we have never had to do on holiday before.



Air con, was a must. [Also comes at a price]

Also please take a tin opener, they was not a one in our room.

Bodrum is also a must visit

Overall and absolutly amazing holiday. Definatly going back

A lovely place, great location within gumbet about 10 mins away from the main bars & resturants.



The Agar is very well run, and the staff are very willing to help with any issue or request. The apartments are very clean, and the staff keep the whole of the complex in A one condition.



Irvine , Nike & Bob are so helpfull, even so that Bob took My friend and my daughter to the Oasis shopping centre in his own car, and on a couple of occassion he also took freinds back to their Hotel, as they was staying in a different location.



Bob is just a bit over the top sometimes. I would call him a wedding DJ.



The Food they serve is as good as the major resturant in gumbet Town, try the Sea Bass or even the full english breakfast the best I have tasted in a while, that also including Egland.



If I was going back to Gumbet this would be at the top of my list of places to stay

Rite, only went for 1 week but the people that week made it amazing. Don't think I left the pool table though. Bob and Nike also helped with Bob organising some pool comps and water polo.



Everything is closeby with a small market within the block offering really cheap twisters n others n the restaurants about 10 mins up the road. Didn't really leave the complex during the day as it was hard to find anything to do in the heat as it was in the 40's all week, but hanging around the pool everyday didn't get boring at all.

I went to turkey with my husband and my daughter and all 3 of us loved every minute. Defonitily go back again. Quiet, yet filled with friendly people. It wouldn't of been as good without bar and restraunt staff especially bob and nike, but not forgetting Elvin, Mary, Fatima and Nial. Beauitful sandy beaches. Busy place, Cheap prices.

We also went to epheses and that was amazing. Also boat trips are definitly not to miss.

the agar apartments were amazing everything was lovely the staff wer so friendly missing bob and nike lots hope to see you again. the rooms and pool and the bar was clean and there was a pool table and table tennis i would certainly go again but next time wear more sun cream haha missing everybody..

If you intend to travel to Gumbet do not comsider staying anywhere else.

I have stayed in many places but these apartments cannot be beaten.The cleaning staff work exceptionally hard to keep them spotless.

The location is spot on too , just a ten minute walk to the local beach passing all the bars and restaurants you are likely to encounter whilst enjoying the buzzing nightlife.

Walk up to the main road and catch the Dolmus ( brightly coloured minibusses) into Bodrum.Costs around 2 turkish lira ( about 80p).



The apartments have a nice pool , pool bar , restaurant on site ( which prepares really nice food for very reasonable prices ) and also a mini mart ( handy for ice creams ) so you might not actually want to leave there at all



Temperature peaked at around 45 deg so for those who like it hot it's ideal



Say hi to Bob the barman and Nike ( the shyest , nicest guy on the planet ) for whom nothing was too much trouble.



I will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

We all had a cushty time at the Agar appartments. They were clean and spacious and the staff were great especially Nike and Bob. Our friends even spent more time at the Agar than thier own hotel. We are booking the Agar for next years holiday. WOOP WOOP!!

the best holiday i cant say anymore it was just fantastic GET OUT THE WATER BOB. I think every1 should go its just a breathtaking experincen and youd be a fool to miss it

me and partner shirley visited agar in may 08 and have to say ive bn to turkey 8 times and this was my BEST holiday by far from start to finish the staff bob nike and not 4getting fred fred fred lol mary elvin pappa n mamma made our stay a great one bob the entertainer nike such a shy boy but such a lovely genuine lad fred ahh great guy too hotel 10/10 think food was excellent nothing was an effort even with food salad cut into flower shapes was shirleys birthday while we were there maids decorated the bed with roses lillies was absoultely gorgeous we danced many a night away in the bar with all our friends we met shirleys been miserable since getting bk and talked none stop EVERYDAY since we returned home about comming back, PS. i think the people who have left petty comments about no toilet rolls is abit sad i did my homework be4 we came so brought my own but wouldnt of spoilt a review over a toilet roll which cost nothing more than a few leeras from the lill market at end of road DEFFO WORTH A VISIT SEE YOU ALL SOON and thanx for such a wonderful stay met some wonderful people scott n shirley xx (toonarmy)

It was our first time at the Agar Apartments and I can honestly say it was the best holiday we have been on, so much so two weeks after we got home we booked to go next year.



The apartments are one of the best we have stayed in, the rooms are very clean with the cleaners coming near enough everyday and changing the bed lining three times a week, the standards of the rooms are excellent.



Bob and Nike were great especially bob doing all his magic tricks, the whole atmosphere at the agar is fantastic it’s like being one big family, they make everyone feel welcome.



The food is great and there’s no pressure in eating at the apartments, over all we would recommend the Agar to everyone it’s great.
