Me and my boyfriend have just got back from Gumbet after staying in the Agar apartments for a week.
Neither of us have been to Gumbet before but I have been to Turkey a few times and can safely say the the Agar is the best hotel I have stayed in.
The rooms were cleaned every day, the pool area was clean with plenty of sun loungers, the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were reasonably priced.
Good location too, only about a 5 minute walk on to bar street where there are loads of great bars and restaurants.
I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone thinking if visiting Gumbet :) x

myself and my wife have been here twice now and wouldn,t dream of going anywhere else in turkey i am going back next summer for my 50th birthday and taking a few friends aswell so here,s to meeting all the wonderful staff next year keep up the good work

We couldn't find fault with the Agar Appartments, the staff were excellent, the food great and the prices very reasonable. Nike works like a trooper and is always pleased to see you. The whole complex is kept really clean. We went late in the season and still had a fantastic time. I would recommend Agar and will definitely go back.

Loved the Agar Aparts in Gumbet. Great location, nice and quiet, beautiful gardens. Clean, tidy and well managed. Food was good especially fresh fish and breakfasts. Staff were polite, friendly, helpful. Nike, was lovely as was Mary and Elvin. All really helpful and knowledgable. Gumbet itself was ok, liked the local area around the hotel, especially the local sunday market. The beach is ok and there is plenty of choice of where to eat, I am glad we went out of season as I would imagine in the summer 'bar street' as it is known must be buzzing. However, we liked the calm oasis of the Agar Apartments. We would recommend these apartments and will definately go back.

we went to the agar apartments end of july for two weeks and it was amazing bob and nike are ace, bob cant play darts but thinks he can. nike will do anything for you proper gent. i cant wait to g back trying to get booked fo same time again. they love g star across there shop keepers are mental they remember you everytime you go past... you must go for a turkish bath at the start of the holiday as you tan better and dont peel...promise,,, well if you are going next year see you there. you willsee the stoney massive t-shirt in the bar they love football tops bring one sign it and see it when you go back...

This was my first trip to Turkey. The Agar apartments were absolutely fab. they are absolutely spotless and set in really pretty surroundings. The staff, from the owners to the gardener are friendly, polite and warm sincere people. Bob's Bar could be good fun but too much football for me. Nike is the most polite and genuine person you will wish to meet. The cleaners, Fatima and Ayesa work tirelessly all day and nothing is too much trouble. The gardens are beautiful.The food is very tasty and very well presented. The pool area is spotless and quite comfortable. If you need to go anywhere just ask Bob and he will arrange a taxi to pick you up at reception. They are really cheap. A trip into Bodrum is a must and is only 15 mins away by taxi. Everything else you need is just a short walk,from shops for you daily needs to restaurants and bars. A night out at The Dreamgirls is brilliant value for money and very funny. I am not sure if I want to do the travel time again but if I did I would definitely return to The Agar Apartments.

Just returned from our stay at the agar, this was our first visit to turkey and we didnt realy know what to expect, first off the resort itself was very nice however the agar was a good hotel in a poor location and the surrounding areas are in need of some improvement, gumbet is very nice but you should prepare yourself for abit of banter as every shop and restaurant seem desperate for your custom. The Agar apartments are set in beautiful gardens and the rooms are very clean, staff were freindly and seemed very dedicated to offer great service. The worst thing about these apartments is that you will probably be woken very early by several dogs barking in the local area.

This was out second stay at Agar and we are booking again for next year! It is a fabulous complex. The apartments are spotless, the food fantastic and the staff are second to none. It really feels like a family at the Agar. There is good mix of people, we were four girlies out to have a good time and there were families, groups, couples. Everyone is friendly. The pool is amazing, so clean!
Bob managed to push us in the pool this year but we will get him back next time! Nike is a darling, nothing is too much bother and he even ventured out with us for a drink one night!
I would recommend Agar to anyone, 5*!

In all the years we have been away abroad, we have never been back to the same place twice. We came home on 31st August and re-booked for next year on 1st Sept.
We are a family of four and we were all amazed by the apartments. All the staff are amazing. Elvan will be giving us an exam next year for our Turkish words. Bob & Nike are the Laurel and Hardy of the Turkish world. Agar just would'nt be the same without one of them.
Amazing, Fantasic, Brilliant. Those words sum up how good this place is. Can't wait until Aug 2010
