Adriana Club Beach & Resort

We stayed at the resort for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We are a family of 4, mum,dad and 2 boys aged 15 & 6. We felt that everyone was catered for, there is plenty to do on the resort with organised activities all day for adults, teenagers and children. The Animation Team are excellent with the children and spend a lot of time entertaining them, they even take some of the children to lunch or dinner with them in Flipperworld. I have just returned from a week stay at the hotel. The hotel is kept clean and rooms really nice, looked like just been refurbished. It as a sister hotel the auqamaria. You can factilites at both hotels. The food is good at both hotels but can become very much the same each day and the only down fall to evening meal is you sometimes have to qeue for a while to be seated . the adriana beach club is the worst holiday you could ever possibly book ,the staff amongst the most ignorant any where in the world the food unedible (nice pool though) the rooms are similar to a prison cell (campbeds tiny portable tv which you pay 30 euros for the remote and the dont show english channels)dont ask for towels itl cost you 50 euro deposit , and your entretainment is excellent if your fluent in portugese, do yorself a favour GET YOUR MONET BACK NOW...................

The Adriana has had a recent refurb, i think Feb 2008. The hotel is a large complex with it's own beach a mins walk which is very good and clean. The outdoor pool is large with a small kiddies pool nearby, there is a smaller pool indoors which is great for winter visitors. There are ample sunbeds beside the pool, the pool area is immaculate, with a poolside assistant keeping the area clean and clearing cups and glasses. It's quite obvious from the outset that this Hotel does NOT cater for or particularly want British custom. The Hotel staff are some of the most arrogant I have ever experienced in my life they are simply dis interested in offering customer service and see you as a hindererance than a valued customer particularly the bar staff. Not impressed with the set up or offerings of this resort - no way is it a 4* resort for service or rating. The restaurant is so mis-managed, we went in the quiet season, yet the staff couldn't clear the tables or set up for arrival - there is no meet, greet, and seat on arrival at the restaurant and once get a table and then go to the self serve buffet areas, you find someone else at your seat eating! The hotel is about as far from the resort centre as you will get. Taxi is about 20euro return trip and the hotel courtesy bus last run from Albufiera is at 8 pm. After that you are on your own. And by the way if it's a cloudy day make sure you get to the front of the courtesy bus queue going into town because when the bus is full you will need to get a taxi ,the hotel won't put on another bus for the extra people. Have just got back from a 4 night stay at the Adriana. Generally the hotel is well presented and is excellent for those wanting to relax or are with young families. I was disappointed with standard of the room. Very badly designed and not well maintained. I have had better rooms in a 2 star hotel in Spain. The Adriana Beach Club & resort is roughly 25 mins drive from the airport, a taxi will cost you around €40-44 if you have no transfers included in your holiday. I spend 3 nights at the Adriana for a short break, the resort is beautiful. It is set on private grounds, approx 15-20 mins from Albufiera town centre & there is a hotel shuttle that will take you there & back for free. I stayed there 5 nigths and it was wonderfull.Good amenities,good food.I just didn't like the staff,not very helpfull.I certainly recomend this hotel for those who want relax.
