The Palace

my wife and I spent a week on half board at this excellent hotel, and we were very impressed with the quality of the room, the cleanliness and the exceptionally friendly staff. We had a fifth floor room with a wonderful view over the harbour towards Valletta. We had originally booked for the Victoria (the Palace's sister hotel) and on arrival we were told there had been"an accident" in our room, so they were upgrading us to the Palace next door. What a spot of luck. I cannot praise this hotel enough and one of the nicest I have ever had the pleasure to stay in. The room was wonderful. We have just spent a fortnight at The Palace and cannot praise it enough. We found it a truly delightful hotel at which to relax in the luxurious rooms, at the pool deck or in the comfortable lobby and adjoining bar. It is elegant, understated and quiet. The staff are excellent: exceptionally friendly and helpful. The choice of restaurants is all that one would want. The reception we had when we arrived at the hotel was very good, and the porter took us up to our room. Because it was our anniversary and my birthday, they upgraded our room to a superior room. This was a nice room, large tv, bathrobes, mini bar (which wasn't very cold). The hotel itself is very modern set in a high street of very old buildings. Great hotel, staff are very polite. Being a new hotel there are still some things that can be improved, waited 45 mins one time for breakfast as there was a a mix up in the kitchen but were given free drinks so was not so bad, once my food was served half warm and half cold! again they were very apologetic and made me a fresh dish immediately. Stayed here for 7nights. Hotel is In a great location, seaside 3min walk, ports for sailing 5mins walk yet never any noice at night. Hotel very modern, staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms nice and roomy. If we come back to Malta i would definatley come back. Swimming pool on top floor with restuarant is a very nice touch to a already very nice hotel. Was great value for money too.

i liked it jonathan at the hotel desk was realy nice and staff were not lacking they came out and gave us snacks and that the infinat pool was getting lower evrey day and didnt look as good as when we first went there the family room taps were not working proply and we had to use the shower to run the bath beds were compftable but you could not watch the t.v at night because the t.v went dark other than that it was realy good

My wife and i stayed here along with 10 others for a friends wedding for 10 days and we all agreed that the Palace was an excellent hotel. The decor throughout was outstanding the rooms were excellent i wanted to leave my summer cloths behind and take the pillows home they were so comfortable. We booked this hotel as a last minute deal on lastminute.com, i certainly don't think that this bargain price will last much longer once the hotel earns the reputation it deserves. Throughout our stay all the staff from front desk, restaurant, cleaning, and bar were friendly, helpful and efficient. The room was beautifully furnished and the bed and pillows extremely soft. All facilities were cleaned to a high standard. With three pools and fantastic views from the roof terrace across to Valetta, this was a lovely, relaxing place to stay.... more

about visiting this hotel,if you possibly can.this hotel is situated about 200 yards from the arrival/departure point of sliema ferrys,cruises etc.its set in the back streets in a very quiet location,but only a couple of minutes walk to the bus stops.the rooms are spacious,elegant and perfectly maintained.there are plenty of options for breakfast,including full english,cereals,and salad.wine and salmon are also freely available,which is a first for me.the staff are helpful and very friendly,which is always a bonus.the pool isnt the biggest... more
