Stll dreaming of the Hotel Palladio
from thebritkate
I cannot say enough about this charming family run hotel. It would be a highlight of any trip to Sicily. Run by father and daughter, they provide genuinely caring and considerate service. The rooms are lovely, many with balconies and views. And the food! We arrived on a rainy windswept night, the weather forcing us to give up our goal of driving to Taormina. We saw 2 hotels, chose the one closest to the sea, knocked on the wrong door and were warmly welcomed up the stairs through the owners private apartment. Despite...

good value, beach front
from Jazibe
We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of february 2007, after staying for a few days in Taormina. The Hotel is right across from the beach, which is nice, but in our case the weather did not cooperate. If coming by bus, you should let the driver know exactly WHAT stop you need, since there are more than 1 stops in Giardini Naxos (the hotel's website makes it seem like the bus station ir right next door, when it actuallity its NOT a station, just a stop, and its NOT next door, but about 1 block away). Tell the driver where you're going, it...

great stay in a beautiful town
from KevinSt.Catharines
The Hotel Palladio is located in Giardini Naxos, which is just below the beautiful town of Taormina. Although overrun with touristy hotels and restaurants, Giardini Naxos is certainly more affordable than Taormina, and just a short bus or taxi ride away. The Hotel Palladio was a great place to stay, with a very friendly, family run staff. Our room had a beautiful balcony view of the Mediterranean, was very clean, and had all the ammenties needed to be comfortable. Prices were reasonable, and its location was very close to the bus stop to...

Great little hotel, great location, great staff
from A TripAdvisor Member
Just got back from a couple of days at The Hotel Palladio and we found it to be a really homely place, in fact a lovely original sicilian grand home with interesting furniture and loads of paintings. The staff Antonella, Ivana and Luana could not be praised highly enough for their helpfulness and welcoming attitude and friendly smiles. We stayed in a lovely double room, with sea view and balcony, ok it did overlook a petrol station as well which closed at 6pm, but it was still nice to sit there in the evening with a beer or well...

not for light sleepers...
from Nicholas48
I have just returned from a few days at the Hotel Palladio and although the staff are very helpful & friendly & the roof terrace is very pleasant - our room was very noisy as a main road passes at the front of the hotel & at the back. Our room also overlooked the petrol station opposite! The traffic is quite relentless throughout the night as well & I am surprised this has not been mentioned in other reviews - had I been aware of that fact I would not have chosen this hotel.
Wonderfully kind, caring and helpful people at the Palladio
from A TripAdvisor Member
Everyone at the Hotel Palladio went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had an unfortunate incident leaving Catania airport but our best memories of our week's holiday will be of the exceptional level of help the staff gave us in sorting things out. The breakfasts and level of hotel service were excellent. The views were lovely and we found Sicily a very friendly place to be. The Palladio could not have done more to make us feel valued and ensure that our stay was a happy one.
An excellent 2 star hotel
from LondonWales
I booked this hotel having read the reviews. We stayed for 2 nights. Parking is an issue I would imagine in the high summer but we were lucky and had the hotel parking space. The hotel is a lovely old building with beautiful sea views which are worth paying for. The rooms have lots of character. Breakfast is buffet style - it has cakes, cereals but no hot food. The reception are incredibly friendly and helpful. There is a lovely balcony which catches the sun. As a previous writer stated - an ideal place when it is quiet. The hotel...

Winter storms but bargain hotel
from cobbydaler45
We spent two stormy cold nights here in February. There was just one other guest. We were warm and comfortable and watched the dramatic sea from our sea view room. We had some difficulty finding food in the evening as many restaurants close for the winter. The amazing selection of jams for breakfast also is reduced to two ! The hotel staff were amazingly helpful sending heaps of information on what to do and see. We paid just 62 euros a night - what a bargain - but go in spring not winter.
Great Little Hotel!
from A TripAdvisor Member
Stayed for 13 nights - despite 2 star rating the facilities and service were definately 4 star. Even though the style and decor of the hotel is unusual the services and plumbing are very efficient. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel due to its price and location. Excellent fresh food is available at a wine bar minutes away called 'A Putia' - Salvatore has a great hand with fish and authentic Sicilian cuisine! We also used to visit a very friendly cafe, after our meal, called 'Sesto Senso' for a coffee and brandy. These...

Get Room #31 - Best View!
from microskis
This was a great hotel for a two star, and for the price. I found that generally hotels in sicily were pretty cheap, the entire island is pretty cheap compared to the rest of Italy. The sheets were clean, we were staying in a fantastic room, the Blue Room with the white canopy over the bed (see the expedia pictures). The breakfast is amazing - 15 kinds of jam, they don't lie. Only problem was with the shower, which was small and let water into the bathroom easily (there is a drain in the bathroom floor - never a good sign) Overall a...
