Ionis Art Hotel

Hi, We stayed at the Ionis Hotel from 5th-19th August 2008. The hotel is an absolute joke and how they are getting away with it is unbelieveable........ Firstly when they say it's "Excellent location"........Our room was ABOVE the KFC, soundproofing is practically non existent so we had to listen to all the drunks singing England football songs every night until 7am....... and if you think that because you get it early hours you'll be OK for sleep then think again.......You have people constantly kicking and banging doors,... more

I did enjoy my holiday in laganas the hotel is right in the centre of the main street so if you needed a bit more money you didn't have far to walk to your room which was good and it was also 5 mins away from the beach...perfect location! but the hotel was a let down with all the expensive charges like the 50 euro deposit per person on arrival and me and my mate got a little bit on make up on the bed sheet and got charged 18 euros for a new sheet...stupid it comes out so easily...the security guard was nice he saved us from creepy men who... more

Returned on the 17th june. Had a great holiday Zante is brill, the Hotel was clean but over the top, people being over charged probably 80% of the hotel. We read the reveiws before we left and made sure we wrote everything down even removed the pillow slips to find they had 2 fag burns in the pillows took it to reception who seemed a bit suprised that we had checked the pillows,but when they checked they where there, sheets weren't changed the last 2 days, heard others had been charged to clean sheets so made a trip to reception to report... more

I have just got back from Zante and loved it its a wicked place especially for the night life and the beechs. First impressions of the ionis was good the place was lovely and the rooms nice, we had a good view overlooking the pool. You have to be SO careful with the rooms we got charged 500 euros for sun tan cream on the bed when it could easily be washed. I stayed at the Ionis in September we went at this time as we thought it would be quite quiet for our first girls hoiday, ( and cheaper)!! it wasnt quiet at all! the hotel was really good, clean. the only thing that i wil say is that they are really strict on if you break anything! check your room first really well. even if you havent done any damage and they find anything they WILL charge you. the cleaners come in and if you asleep then they will go again. our room had a balcony looking over the strip we thought that this was going to be... more

The hotel has lots of really nice pieces of art but you are watched by a hawk incase you break anything. Can be noisy in peak season. Location is excellent. Rooms are fairly basic unless you upgrade. Hotel is strict and requires a 50 euro deposit each on arrival secured against ay breakages. 2wentys reps are great.

We went to Zante at the end of September, expecting it to be a bit quieter and cooler (and of course cheaper). Although we booked throgh First Choice, being a 2wentys holiday we were sure it wouldn't be too quiet! The first impression when we arrived was 'WTF??' as the hotel is right on the strip above Pizza Hut! Booked this through work back in February, but had a few worries after reading some of the reviews on here about the organised theft with the deposits. The hotel is alright, wouldnt give it a 4* though. I think its more a 3* really. The rooms are alright aswell, but a lot smaller than the pictures on the website had made it look. You have to fill in an inventory when you get there, even if it takes you half an hour make sure you list everything that is wrong with your room, because if not you will just end up getting... more

We traveled to Zante from the 24th to the 31st of July and we had a great holiday. Laganas Resort has a wild night life with lots of bars and drinking. We stayed at Ionis Art Hotel which is centrally located and 3 minutes from the beach. The hotel has a very modern and tasteful decoration with a great swiming pool area. The staff are mostly English-what a convenience! The hotel is extremely safe due to the tight security by Voitek. We were highly recommended to stay here and we highly recommend it to others. We stayed at the Ionis Art Hotel from July 3rd to July 17th and we had an absolutely wonderful holiday. Not only is the hotel in a perfect area but the service and staff were amazing to me and my friends. All the front desk and bar staff are English and were very kind and helpful whenever we needed any assistance.
