After a few days of hectic partying among Cancun's impersonal mega hotels, Playa’s Hotel Fusion offered the perfect retreat for my boyfriend and I. Offering all the modern cons needed (large bouncy beds, a/c, shower, tv) coupled with the great beach front location only a quick stroll (and stumble!) from the main shopping avenue & night life (Bar 69, Blue Parrott etc), Fusion was a great place to enjoy our last week in Mexico. Fusion is a small but wonderful hotel in Playa Del Carmen, a little paradise on earth! Waking up in the morning and having breakfast on the terrace on the beach was a great start of the day. Fusion really won our hearts with the wonderful meals and fantastic service. The Hotel has simple but well equipted rooms and fulfills all basic needs, the beds are brand new which was a great relief. We had a room with a view!! Magnificent. A real cosy not too luxurous hotel. Great people, good food! Especially the beachview-breakfast-place was superb. I recommand this hotel to everybody!

What a great experience. The hotel is a small hotel with a bar and a courtyard right on the beach. The service was excellent and made me feel very relaxed and at home. The rooms are nice and very clean with AC and Televison. The staff at the Fusion couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and the food was outstanding.

we stayed at the partial ocean view room in April 2006. I was really happy in there. the people are great the beach club with the bar and restaurant- one of the best places to eat in Playa Del carmen. I went with my friend to this hotel and we had a very good time. We came to relax but also to go out and enjoy playa's nightlife. And that is one of the great things about Fusion Hotel. It is located one block from the busy street with all the nice restaurants, shops and bars. But still it is very quite in the hotel so we could get enough sleep to go out again the next day ;-) And it is great that it is located at the beach, relaxing on the beach beds. We wanted to go to Mexico to relax but also enjoy the culture. That is why we decided not to go for All-In but chose to stay at this beautiful hotel on the beach and in the centre. We couldn`t have made a better choice! Because it is a fairly small hotel everybody was very helpfull. The staff helped us with setting up tours and gave us good tips on restaurants. A girlfriend & I spent a week at the Alejari. We had a wonderful time. The hotel is small & older but extremely clean & the staff was wonderful. As soon as we walked out onto the beach, there was the wonderful man to get us our lounge chairs & cushions. The bartender was fabulous. Best icy cold coronas and margs we had. The rooms themselves were quite bare but extremely clean. Chambermaids were amazing, leaving awesome towel animals with beautiful flowers each day. Wonderful! Gloria at the front desk was excellent. All the beds in Mexico are hard and I certainly wouldn't say that Alejari's are harder than others.

Alejari is an older, very basic motel style lodging. We fully realized this going into the situation. However, there are several things -- quite simple changes really -- that could make this hotel the best thing since sliced bread! First of all, the location is excellent and couldn't be any better. Secondly, for as old as the motel is, it has been well kept and maintained -- especially by Mexican standards.
