Hotel Iberostar Odysseus

After a great experience last year with Iberostar at Creta Marine, we decided to place our faith again in this Group with a 7 day stay at this new hotel on Kos. One should remember this hotel claims to be 5 star but this was my first ever experience where a hotel wanted to charge me for a couple of sachets of coffee or teabags in the room!! All in all this a very good hotel - especially with their rather cheap prices. The crew was more then pleseant, the rooms very well equiped and spacious, and the private beach simply stunning! However you should take the following problems into account before making your reservations: 1. The wi-fi signal in the rooms is very week. The only place with reasonable wi-fi access is the lobby. 2. Hotel is new and nice, food is realy good, rooms are spacy but....beach is dirty, nobody takes care of it and AI clients have problems in bar...when You order Metaxa, You can wait even one hour...and last day of our stay they claim: Metaxa is finished...it was the only "good" alcohol to choose, so when You dont like cocktail or beer, you are "out of the game"

We ended up here after being 'overbooked' by Thomas Cook at the Diamond Deluxe Hotel. The hotel was going to close in a week after our stay, and a lot of things (food, variety of drinks) was already out of stock. Food was terribly bad for a five-star hotel, and the staff was very unexperienced (apart from some exceptions). The rooms were not thoroughly cleaned and we even had fleas in our bed. Prices are way too high and the location is very far away from Kos or Tigaki. Please don't go there. You'll be sorry for the money.

My boyfriend and I used trip advisor on all of our searches for a holiday and eventually chose this wonderful hotel. It wasn't cheap but we have now decided that you get for what you pay for. Eventhough the hotel just opened, you can feel the relaxing and romantic atmosphere. Beautiful rooms, very nice buffet restaurant and splendid A la Carte option as well. For those looking one of the best spots in Greece, the Iberostar Odysseus is a hotel not to be missed !!!
