Lakitira Beach Resort Mark Warner

I loved this hotel! All the staff were helpful and pleasant, the food was excellent and it is the best place I have ever been to for children to stay. Sports facilities are amazing, with award winning tennis courts, volleyball, and of course the famous watersports activities. The kids club was very good, although my daughter did not attend all the activities, the ones she did participate in kept her happy and busy. Great hotel, great staff, great food, great activities but if you are a couple or a single traveller steer well clear during school holidays and leave a buffer for those families who put saving a few bob above their children's education. Kids drove us MENTAL, there was no getting away from them. Even the "adults only" pool was infeested by screaming brats, sometimes escorted by Activities coordinators organising ad hoc boysterous games of water polo. Must admit I was slight dubious of going on a fully catered holiday geared towards children having never been on one before. The transfer from the airport was just 15 mins. The staff were all very helpful indeed. The place itself was well looked after, rooms clean etc. The food was excellent but I expect if you went for two weeks it might get a little boring, that said the standard was very high for the amount of people that were staying there. i really loved the sailing experience i got there. The kids club was really impressive and the hotel was top quality

We travelled with Mark Warner for a weeks sailing and windsurfing and were not disapointed. The hotel is fine, dont expect any glamour but it is perfectly ok considering you spend hardly any time in your room. The rooms are a good size, basicly furnished but immaculately clean. The property is 15 mins from airport and under the flight path, but I can honestly say that it did not affect my stay at all. The rooms are what can only be described as functional, but very clean and the beds comfortable. Everything you need is provided, but please note that the rooms do not have TV's (you are meant to be out there "doing things" so they say!!). Just been back from Lakitira Resort This was my first time with Mark Warner, and I would certainly recommend them. From the time that I arrived at the resort to the time that I left, all the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional. On arrival, my suitcase was waiting for me outside my room, with my room key in the door. And on day of departure, I left my suitcase outside my room and it was put on the airport coach for me. We stayed at Lakitira Hotel for week in early Sept and had a great time. The hotel rooms are fairly basic and no frills (not even a t.v) but a reasonably spacious and clean. We had conjoining rooms so that the two kids could have their own room. This is an absolute necessity in my opinion as the room would not have space for any more than one small cot, despite what Mark Warner may say. Having just returned from a two week stay at Mark Warner Lakitira, Kos, I thought I would post some detailed info about the resort as there is not much independent stuff to read on the web. It's a bit long but hopefully will be interesting to those considering this resort. We would have opted for a 10 day trip but this isn't available for Stansted departures. I thought I would write a fairly detailed review as I couldn’t find any for this resort. In terms of childcare I was very unsure as this is the first time I had been on this type of holiday. Our daughter who is 7 had a great time. She learned how do many new sports such as surfing, wind surfing, canoeing, sailing and tennis. She had a wonderful time and the staff were fantastic with the children. One thing you do hear around the resort the whole time is chanting of bubble bubble bubble pop!
