Makis Hotel

stayed at the makis for two fantastic weeks, everyone at hotel were friendly ,would do anything to make your stay great. cant wait to get back ,would really recomend this hotel and resort.

well, what can i say...makis is one of the best holidays i have ever been on and are certainly going back soon. i went with my boyfriend, his parent and their friends and it catered for all our needs. there was so much to do in the day and the night, the beach is just accross the road with great water sports facilities and great for snorkelin. there is also a bus going to the near by villages with some great scenery. the island tour is also a must. the breakfast at the hotel is lovely, just what u needed for a boilling greek morning i... more

I checked the reviews of the Makis Hotel before booking with Kosmar. Hotel is in a fantastic position opposite the beach. Even though its on the main coast road, traffic is not too much of a nuisance. Room was above average for Greece. Shower cubicle and hairdryer. Air conditioning, safe and fride. As reviews say the staff are wonderful and cant do enough for you. Breakfast was continental, plentiful if a bit repeative. Toasters were a bit of a nightmare but I've come across worse in Bulgaria. My husband and I stayed at the Makis Hotel for a week in September. I booked the hotel direct by telephone, it's the first time I have done this and was somewhat concerned, I needn't have been, our room was ready when we arrived and they wouldn't even take a deposit when I made the booking. They made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and have everything you could need including plenty of wardrobe space. Myself and my husband have just returned from 2 weeks at the Makis Hotel in Skala. This was our 3rd visit to Kefalonia but the first time we have stayed at the Makis. The location of the hotel is ideal especially if you don't like walking up hills! The hotel is beautiful, pool area is great and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful - Rula and crew - we miss you!! We are currently planning our next trip in October and it can't come soon enough and we will definately be staying at the Makis again.

We have just returned from our holiday in Kefalonia where we stayed at the Makis Hotel in Scala. We had the most wonderful time due mainly to the staff at this hotel right down from the owner and his wife to the ladies who kept our room spick and spam! Our room was of a decent size with a view of the beach and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The pool area is lovely with a bar which serves delicious snacks. We recently returned from a holiday at the Makis Hotel and had a really relaxing time. The hotel is in a great location, literally just across the road from the beach and a few minutes walk into main area of Skala, It’s well worth staying at this hotel. Our room was very good, right at the front with a great view of the beach and the sea and best of all it had blackout shutters (a must for me as I can’t sleep if it’s light) it was regularly cleaned and had air conditioning (essential!), a fridge and safe, all at no extra charge!!... more

I stayed at the Makis Hotel in Skala (not in Agia Efimia) in August 06. The location of the hotel is great, with the beach accross the road and the resort centre just 5 minutes away. Although the room were quite basic, they were very clean and staff was very friendly. Good value hotel. Excellent restaurants around, but not much to do in Skala apart from going to the beach or stay in the swimming pool.

Just got back from a weeks holiday in Scala at the Makis Hotel. The hotel itself was OK. Well looked after with friendly staff. However because of our late booking we had an awful view of a wall and not the sea view which we were promised!! The rooms are fairly spacious with free air-conditioning and a fridge (much needed). The fridge did manage to wake me up each night though as it was quite loud! We were B&B, breakfast was 8-10am each day with a lovely view onto the beach and sea from the balcony. Just been to this hotel for the last two weeks, i cannot praise it enough the hotel was lovely and clean and the staff were very frienfly and helpful, the position of the hotel is ideal just a few minutes walk to the resort centre, and overlooking the beach. Everyone who stays here just wants to come back next year us included, there were no negative points which i can mention, its a must if you want a lovely relaxing holiday.
