Zephyros Hotel

Very pleasant hotel. We were in the newer of the three blocks. We had a spacious room with lovely sea views and a well-fitted bathroom. Good standard of cleanliness. Pool bar a bit basic but lovely large pool with good views. Breakfast adequate but breakfast room not very inviting so most people braved the wasps by sitting outside in the pool bar. we stayed in skala early may and stayed at the zephyros hotel we had a wonderful time the weather was very hot so the brilliant pool was used quite a bit,andreas and his family made our weeks stay very welcoming.there was a long walk into town and the climb back up the hill was a task in its self but after a couple of ouzo,s it was les painful,go give it a look you will love it,chris/laurie warner hadleigh suffolk

We stayed in the Zephyros in the first year they opened and we had a fabulous time - in fact we returned the following year because we loved it so much and had such a good time. .Andreas and Vula work so hard to make .sure everything is perfect for a brilliant holiday. Myself and my husband stayed at the zephyros for a week in may 2007. we had a fantactic holiday Andraoss and his family are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The location may not be ideal for everyone as it is at the top of a steep hill but those views do make up for that. our room was very comfortable and cleaned daily, the bar service was execellent the breakfast was very nice with fresh fruit and yoghurt, toast, fresh bread, juice and tea or coffee. Kefalonia is a beautiful island and we spent two lovely weeks there, the only thing that spoiled our holiday was the hotel. I cannot say it was horrible but some things were unbelievable. Mostly it's about hygiene. Wouldn't reccomend tauching a shower curtain - filthy!!! Also there were dump marks all over the bathroom and the smell wasn't great either. Our room was never properly cleaned, even before our arrival. Dust was everywhere, all mirrors were grimey, towels (changed only twice a week), even though fresh, had some irremovable stains.... more

This is a great place which for Greek standards is furnished brilliantly - and even has a bath in the bathroom, all be it a very small one! It is run by Andreas and his family (although his mum seems to keep the place running!) The pool is fabulous with a small bar and good bar food. Breakfast is simple but enough to keep you going. My Boyfriend and I went to this resort fo rthe first time last week, we stayed for a week, and we loved it. Its a beautiful resort, although the Transfer from the Airport was 1.5 hrs, it was well worth the ride! Andreas and his wife are so friendly and make you feel welcome. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the pools were pretty. To go to the Restaurants for dinner, its about a 10 minutes walk from the hotel, if that!! We had awonderful stay at this hotel and were treated like part of the family, shame it was only for a week. We are looking to going back in 2007 for a big birthday and taking our family with us.

Stayed for a week in september 2005, new hotel, very clean with a superb pool, and great views. Andreas, the owner will have you laughing all week. Recommend to anyone. A bit of a walk up a hill late at night, but so what, you're on holiday and does you good. We knew Andreas from when he worked at the Paspalis at the bottom of the hill. Well done keep it up, and we wish him and his wife great success.

Stayed there for a week, lovely and quiet, a little of the beaten track, so would advise you hire a car if you intend to travel about, Greekstones were excellent. The hotel is relativly small but with a large pool and more than enough sun loungers. A well stocked bar that serves great snacks. Andreas is very friendly and his mum is a rock, she never stops working. Be sure to stay for the BBQ on the friday night, the food is first class.
