Regina Dell Acqua Resort

My partner and I have just come back from a week at the Regina Dell Acqua Hotel in Skala, It was a fabulous relaxing holiday which was made even better by the quality of the hotel. The Regina was excellent, so were the facilities and the food. The staff can't do enough for you. The Regina is a very short walk from the local restaurants and shops we tried a different restaurant every night and only had one bad meal at the Ristorante Italiano. The food in the hotel is excellent as well so if you can't be bothered to walk then you won't miss... more

Just returned from a very relaxing week at this hotel.It is under new management this year and they are making a big effort to give a quality service to every guest.Newly built it has a lovely pool that overlooks the sea,a very nice setting some 300 meters from Skala.Food in the hotel was of a high quality and better than some of the eateries in the town.This is a great hotel to chill out and I would highly recommend.A big thanks to Natasha ,Tony and Spiros.

I must mirror a lot of the comments from a previous reviewer with regards to the Standard Rooms. On the whole very nice but I wouldn't say they were quite 5* Standard. I will take in consideration that the hotel has only been open a short while (and our visit was in September!) but they really do need to work a bit on the atmosphere as the hotel restaurant always seemed to be empty in the evening, and the only bar was the one poolside, though they did have one part below the restaurant that seemed unfinished that would make a good size... more

We stayed to Regina Dell Acqua with my wife for 4 nights (1-5 September 2009). The hotel is supposed to be a 5-star one and I'm gonna judge it accordingly. The hotel is brand new (1st year of operation). The staff is very friendly and helpful in general. It is build on a small hill so most of the rooms have sea view. It has a large pool and pool bar, with very nice view to Skala beach, as well as free (for the hotel guests) sunbeds on the beach. We stayed in a standard room with an extra camp bed and sea view. A good size room, and surprisingly the camp bed turned out to be softer than the ordinary beds. A fantastic bathroom. Good breakfast, and the lunches/snacks in the pool bar were OK. A short walking distance (5-10 min) to a number of beach front restaurants. Night life in Scala does not really exist, not the best choice of location for teen agers. We have just returned from 10 days staying at the Regina Dell Acqua in Skala. Normally we would check Trip Advisor to see what other people have to say but there were no reviews so we had to rely on the website which did not lie. This is a real 5* hotel in a lovely area of Kefalonia. We visited in late august.Really lovely hotel.Situated at the far end of the beach (next to supermarket) 5 min pleasant walk into the center of town. Rooms;great bathroom with jacuzzi and seperate shower(although the whole of scala is known to lose water pressure at times ).fridge, mini bar, A/C, great decor,balcony with seating. - ours also had a stunning sea view.quality bed linen and towels as wll as luxury bathrobes.
