- Set in the heart of the old town of Rethymnon, minutes from the harbour and beach. Quiet at night but also very close to local restaurants and bars.
- Good size apartments though small bathrooms. Kitchenettes are included; many of the apartments have separate sleeping quarters upstairs.
- Only breakfast is available, but it is fresh and of good assortment of fruit, pastries and hot food. Local restaurants are aplenty for other meals.
- Very welcoming and accommodating host, though as these are apartments including breakfast, you shouldn't expect to see too much of the staff.
- The individuality and quirkiness of each apartment is what makes this place stand out but worth inquiring what you're getting when you book.

This is everything that the official website leads you to expect. The property is situated in a narrow back-street (no access by car) in the old town, which means peace and quiet during your stay, but combined with ready access to tavernas, craft shops, harbour front, beaches etc. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. A Great Escape for Couples

We have just returned from our holiday at the Palazzo Rimondi. It was possibly the best holiday we have had. The Hotel is lovely, situated in the old town down a little narrow street. The taxi dropped us off two streets away as that was as close as he could get. We were met by Antonis who helped us with or bags. A classic choice

I stayed in Palazzo Rimiondi in the summer of 2004 and I am from Australia. I do not agree with the above tourist as I found Palazzo Rimondi very charming, very clean and very cosy. The breakfast was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. I noticed that they had been awarded by THOMAS COOK the award as one of the friendliest and most co-operative hotels in Crete. As for ants and cockcroaches I never saw anything. Of course Palazzo Rimondi is 400 years old and it is only for people who respect and appreciate history and culture....

Overrated and poorly kept

I stayed there for 5 days in September 2004. It was sold to me by the Neckermann (a major European Travel Agency) as a 4 star "Prestige Hotel". The hotel is very well located in the center of the historic old town. It is rather attractive and has a small swimming pool. I stayed in a small appartment with kitchenette, small living room with sofa and dining table, small bedroom with double bed and a very small bathroom with a tiny shower.
