my husband and i went to this resort in mayfor 11days when we arrived we were impressed, first night the room flooded when we came from dinner, think it came from the airconditioning, as i saw men on the roof next day , we found it very dark in the rooms with secluded lighting, bath leaked so did not use it reported it , also shower leaked , watch those slippers you get very slippy on the tiled floors, 4th day toilet not good flush !! then disaster struck, going out of the bedroom door my hubby tripped on a small step fell into the hall... more

We stayed here 11-18 May 2008, following big on line push by Thomson. We did expect some teething problems as it is a brand new hotel only open a week before we arrived. On arrival at the airport, there are dedicated Sensatori reps to take your luggage, give you an information pack, a map and your room number. A nice touch. Hi. Back from 2 weeks at Sensatori on 23/5/08. Having just read some of the other reviews I am wondering if people were staying at another resort!. A more balanced review this resort would be as follows: Grounds/Gardens/Pools The hotel buildings are impressive with reasonably grand designs - lots of marble, water and other features. I had a few worries before we went as we had read some awful reviews so was concerned. I definately wouldnt rate it as 5* as I have been to 2 other 5* hotels as this one wasnt as luxurious. This was the worst holiday I have ever had the brochures state 5 star, however I don't think you would even give it 3 stars, it was like a childrens holiday camp and we were used as guinea pigs as nothing was finished properly, if your considering going beware a beer cost 5.40 euros and a coffee 3 euros it,s very expensive and there are no adult areas to relax there are children everywhere, the bar was like a playground in the evening, nothing about this holiday was relaxing and the areas are very slippy so this is not good for he less able... more

Had such a poor holiday at this resort. We travel many times with Thomson Platinum and were looking forward to this holiday. It let us down, food below average not 5T. Injured my back on the slippy tiles by pool areas. My wife fell, I fell, saw many other people fall and saw many people break bones. Not nice, my wife is 14 weeks pregnant and she was carying our 2 year old, luckily he was OK. Nothing to do, no mini disco or playground for children of this age group. Just back and I have to say after reading the Forum and worryin other than some minor hiccupps we had a great stay.The rooms are beautiful with their power showers and jacuzzi baths and balconies that would fit up to 20 people.There are still a few problems on site but after seeing problems being rectified as they were highlighted I am sure this will be one fabulous hotel.The restaurants other than the main seem to be have been a problem for some but I never came across them.Some say not enought beds but some people were leaving their towels... more

We stayed at Sensatori in the first week it opened and I have to say were very impressed overall. The Thomson flight was excellent and we were met by very attentive Sensatori reps at the airport. Came back from the far east in October where we stayed in the Bangkok Shearaton and I thought the apartment at Sensatori was far superior. Really comfortable huge bed and quite a bit of room to put stuff in. We were approx 100 metres from the sea and had a stunning view from our 1st floor balcony. We've just arrived back last night from Sensatori - after a bit of a delay due to air traffic control strikes!!!!! We had a great holiday overall but this hotel has a long way to go before it becomes a 5* resort! However after speaking to hotel manager we were told that Thomsons overbooked the hotel for the first few months. Atlantica wanted the hotel to run at 1/3 full for two months to finish work and iron out problems e.g. not enough staff to cope yet and rooms were not ready for so many arrivals. Arrived on opening day easy check in sarnies and soft drinks on offer due to it being late first impression fantastic. Standard room booked i wouldnt say there was anything standard about it very impressed. Staff were always friendly and helpful but not always well enough informed. Food was not 5* and lunch was more or less the same as dinner we never had to queue but staff seemed unable to cope as more guests arrived. However did get better towards end of week.
