Amazones Village Suites

I booked this hotel through the "finest hotels of the world" websire. The pictures on this defiitely reflect the look of the hotel however the facilities listed do not. We booked a panormaic sea view suite. This was meant to include a jacuzzi in the room and wone on arrival of which there was neither. The wine I was not so bothered about, however, I was rather disappointed that we did not get a jacuzzi. A panoramic sea view and night views of the lights of Hersonissos from the balcony of room E1 were just 2 of the pleasures I experienced on this great holiday.Myself a 60+ veteran of many foreign trips,and a cabbie chum Niall enjoyed a wonderful few days.The apartments are comfortable and practical,although a little susceptible to ingress of water,in abnormal weather.The breakfast spread was the envy of others.The bar stayed open late,and was the most enjoyed feature of this holiday.The playing of live music was tolerated by the hotel... more

We had a fantastic time staying at Amazones Village Suites. The accommodation was really good with breathtaking views from our balcony - would recommend paying a bit extra for sea view!! Room had air conditioning which was ice cold - great in the heat. Good room facilities aswell although we didn't eat in the room at all - too many great restaurants nearby. We booked this hotel 4 days before we left the UK. We knew we were taking a chance finding it on the internet, but what a find. We had 2 suites, one for us, one for the kids (next door). The rooms were basic but spacious.Being on a B&B basis, the kitchen area was good. 4 hot rings, microwave, fridge with icebox and sandwich toaster and sink with plenty of hot water. Spa bath in a modern bathroom. There are more restaurants than you can shake a stick at in the area, but some nights it was nice to stay in and make dinner with the kids.... more

We had an amazing holiday!! We have only just arrived back & wish we were still there!! Lovely hotel with nice rooms & we had a fantastic view. Nice swimming pool again with a great view of the mountain behind and the sea in front!! If you have walking difficulties we wouldn't reccommend it as it is on the top of the hillside. We thought it was a great location nice and quite with a few restaurants & bars nearby. The nearby town of Hersonissos was within walking distance if you wanted the nightlife but again is an up hill walk back to... more

The rooms were very spacious with all the amenities for self catering although we preferred to eat in the local restaurants. The maid was very quick and efficient, even washing our coffee cups to keep the place spick and span. The breakfast was delicious with los of choice to suit all tastes. A really good place to stay

We stayed here for 8 nights and enjoyed every moment. Our room was the Aristomache (H1) which had an excellent view of the sea and the village. Katerina was the lovely lady in charge, and was helpful when we had any questions regarding our stay. Breakfast is included and they set out a range of excellent food for all tastes. Someone comes in everyday to clean and change our towels, except Sundays. There is also a pool on site, however we spent our time on the beach. Have just returned from the most idyllic holiday in Crete. Stayed at the Amazones Village Suites in a village on the outskirts of Hersonissos (not Stallis - although they are owned by the same group). The views were fantastic, the hotel of an exceptional standard with spacious rooms that were spotlessly clean. The maid even did your washing up if you left it(thank you). The modern Amazones Village apartment complex was based at the back of Piskopiano further up the hill giving you a fantastic view of the sea and surrounding areas. Being this far up also gave you the comfort of a gentle breeze while relaxing by the pool and bar area. The pool area was fantastic, with beautiful views. Visited Crete for the first time and stayed at Amazones Villages Suite from 30 April to 11 May 2007. Hadn't been on holiday without the family in y-e-a-r-s so wanted to go somewhere peaceful and have a good rest. Couldn't have chosen anywhere better. Slightly uphill with beautiful view.
