Best Western Alba Hotel

Excellent hotel for a great price. Location was perfect. Would highly recommend it!!! Only downside was a small lift but apart from that a gem.

Clean, good, reasonably priced hotel. My problem was the lift was too small to accommodate my wheelchair without taking pieces off it! Told toom was accessible when I booked. Room OK but be careful if you need to get a wheelchair into the lift. Also a steep step into hotel. Breakfast fine and room quiet even though on main street.

The staff were very helpfull. Our rooms an oasis after a day of activity. Initially the room where we've been smelled like a broken ventpipe during the night but they inmediately moved us. Breakfast adequate and we will go there again. We enjoyed the fact that we were near everything. The old town,beach, eateries etc.

NOTE TO TRIP ADVISOR: YOU HAVE THIS HOTEL MIS-CATEGORIZED. IT IS A 3*, NOT 2*. 3*, 100E/nite, one person, no breakfast, internet not included. Had a very nice room, well-air-conditioned, a great bathroom and a lockbox. It’s a few minutes from the train station on the principal drag northward out of downtown. My brother and i stayed in this hotel at the end of the summer, it was perfectly located, right beside big shops and a 10 min walk to the beach. The staff where so friendly, telling us exactly where to go. They also organised a taxi for us back to the airport. Rooms are small but very clean, and housekeeping are so efficent at their job. We missed breakfast every morning we where there but when you walk out go to your right and just down that the bottom of the street is a lovely we cafe to enjoy. As we just returned from our 3 nights-stay in Nice in this hotel to celebrate New Year's Eve, I would recommend it as it was a good price (110 Euro/night) as we got the "duplex Suite" which can easily suits 3 persons. It also has 2 TV, 1 bathtube with jacuzzi (don't expect big bathtube but as it's a normal one)and a mezzanine where the big double bed is. The hotel itself is not very conspicuous, just a doorway on the street and you could easily walk straight past it without even noticing. Generally it was pretty good, fairly modern and very clean and comfortable. There was air conditioning but I still have no idea how to work it. There were a lot of roadworks going on in the main street outside the hotel which made it difficult to cart suitcases to and from. I was attracted to this hotel by its 4 star rating and booked well in advance. What a disappointment. A 3 star rating would be more than generous. The reception area is dreary and not much bigger than a match box, although the staff (only one person mans the desk at any one time) are pleasant enough. What this hotel describes as a junior suite, I would describe as a medium sized room. I am at a loss to know where the "suite" comes into the picture although, in fairness, the bathroom was nice. This hotel is a real find, the area might not look very appealing at night but in the day it is a very cute commercial area, right in the center of Nice. There is also a car pack just seconds away. The hotel was renovated a year ago and the rooms are still as new. Our room was nice and big, very clean and of very good taste! We did not have the breakfast but I'm sure it would be good. The staff were charming and helpful. I don't think you can get a better deal in Nice (we paid 95 euros for a double).
