Best in the area
from kizzjg
The hotel is very stylish and clean with a panoramic view of the coast. Rooms are suitable spacious for two. The area is absolutely fabulous. You can walk along the coast line to Porec which takes about 40 minutes, or hire a bike for £10 a day; but there is also a noddy train directly in front of Molindrio hotel for only £1.50 ish which will take you there. Lovely quaint town, which is also the take off point for the catamaran to Venice. This takes 3 hours but well worth it. Look for the local booking office which will be cheaper...

A walkers paradise
from lolagracie
Previous reviews are pretty accurate I would say. Very comfortable sylish hotel in a great location. The staff are proffessional but very surly. The room was an adequate size and very clean. We had a balcony which didn't overlook the sea but was quiet as it looked out over a rear garden. We thought the location was lovely, a really pleasant hours walk into Porec and if you walk around the coast to the left of the hotel there are beautiful sunsets. The local bars and cafes are very good with an excellent live band at the one at the...

Now our favourite hotel by far
from spiritbirdED
First time in Croatia and definately not our last. We were hoping to return in October but couldnot get a booking. et in idylic surroundings away from any noise it is great for people who want to get away. No pubs, clubs, british bars, souvenier shops or supermarkets selling cheap booze. No 'entertainment' no widescreen t\v showing football. No night club rowdies , no drunken teenagers. The food was an eclectic selection of croatian influenced by Italian and East Euopean dishes. Te guests were mainly German, Russian and west...

Shame about the staff
from simon_powell
My wife and I have just returned from a two week stay at the Laguna Malindrio. The hotel was completely refurbished two years ago and so is still in pristine condition. The hotel looks impressive from the outside and is beautifully located with views over the nearby marina. It is also surrounded by woodland. The hotel is about 4km from Porec but there is a Noddy train which costs 15Kn each way that runs a regular service but it is very popular and can be packed, getting back is the worst. There is also a bus service which costs 13Kn or a...

Relaxing time in stylish, modern hotel...
from clem1903
My girlfriend and I are just back from a week at the Laguna Molindrio hotel, and had a great time! The hotel was situated in what's known as Plava Laguna (which is like a small colony of hotels and apartments about an hours walk from the town of Porec itself). There are pebble beaches scattered around this area and lots of sports facilities too, as well as a few restaurants and bars. The hotel itself is really new, so it's very modern, stylish and clean, with the maids cleaning the rooms daily. We found it really good value for 4...

lovely hotel but no atmosphere
from LeicesterJohn
very new and modern hotel which looks by far the best for this area. the only problem being is that nobody smiles or looks happy to be working there plus it was mainly occupied by russians who seem to be the rudest people on earth unless they simply do not like the english. the hotel shuts down totally by eleven so you cant get a drink after then which means you need to pay for a £12 taxi ride to porec if you want a late one (for all of 4 miles one way) but there is a mini train which is only £7.50 per couple both ways but the last one...

Great Hotel, loved the location, great food and slept like a baby
from Klebe
The only downside to this hotel - having to leave it to come home. I read about the hotel being refurbished so expected a 'spruced up' old hotel but the Laguna Molindrio could have been a brand new hotel didn't see any evidence to suggest that this was an older hotel. Our room had no balcony - we booked with Thomson quite late and balconies seemingly come at a supplementary cost. (it does say this in the brochure) Disappointed at first but the quality of the room and the furnishing soon put that to one side. Yes, the rooms may be on the...

Four star or poor star
from chatnoirDevon
Moved to this hotel from 3 star due to overbooking by agent but first room at back & right by noisy laundry unit, central building for all machinery controls etc & impossible to sleep due to loud whine all night.Could not be moved for 3 days & then put in slightly better room but with fluorescent light that flicked on & off every few seconds even when switched off so again little sleep.Hotel answer was to disconnect all power in room for several hours until engineer could fix.On last night cistern jammed in bathroom so once more no sleep.This...

The Best Hotel in Porec!!!
from Frodo1980
We stayed there for a week in July 2008 - loved the hotel. The best in Porec by far (I know this we stayed in over 10 different hotels in Porec over the years). The next best thing is Hotel Laguna Istra - not far from Molindrio. Molindrio has just been refurbished - it looks great. The rooms are clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a toddler with us - 1 year old - and she really enjoyed the mini-club and the staff there were excellent. The food was good - but not for yout typical Brit as there are no...

Nice
from Ukrainian_guest
Everything in the hotel is new, that's true. The rooms are small, about 16m, but personally for me that's not important. The bed was big, so me and my girlfriend were totally satisfied. No more disadvantages about the room. By the way, it's better to book a seaside room with balcony beforehand cause not all the rooms have it. The food is really good and various but any of the drinks are included in the price. A bottle of mineral water 1l costs 20 cunas (about 3 euro) local beer 0,5l- the same 20 cunas, wine 0.2l- the same). The...
