Suitehotel Marrakech

Hotel was fabulous from the rooms, staff, service, food, pool and cleanliness etc. About a 10-15 walk from the Jemaa el fna! you are away from all the noise, people, cars and hustle and bustle but yet not too far away...and its very easy to find with no problems However FRENCH, FRENCH FRENCH is the language!

We have just returned from Suitehotel Marrakech and had a lovely stay, the room was spotless confy bed with nice white sheets and mattress cover, the room had fridge and tea and coffee facilities, the pool area was clean and the staff very helpfull.I was worried what the breakfast would be like with the reviews commenting on plastic containers! yes a couple of items were in plastic containers.but not a problem there was hot Morrocon pancakes fresh bread rolls cake and yoghurts and unlimited coffee juice or water. The Hotel is located in a great position 5 minutes walk to the Medina and 5-10 minutes from the ‘new city’ Rooms are large and ours was very clean. Free WIFI & on demand movies are available in every room they also have a kettle and fridge. The included breakfast is interesting! Strange pre packed containers filled with fruits, cheese and meat there is also cereal and croissants and really good orange juice, it’s an ok start to the day. Lets get the negatives out of the way first. The so called suites are just hotel rooms (and not very big ones at that). They contain a double bed and 2 'single beds'. The 2 single beds consist of a relatively narrow bed settee fixed to 1 wall and a roll out bed stored underneath the double bed. If that had to be used there would no floor space worth speaking of left. There is no way that the rooms are suited for 4 people - no matter how friendly they may be. My interpretation of "executive suite" and "apartment " is that there is more than 1 room - there isn't. There is a trundle bed under the double bed and a fixed settee. If 4 of you - or 3 of you- stayed you'd be falling over each other.A curtain can be pulled across to divide the room but the bathroom is in 1 half and the toilet in the other. There is no restaurant but if you like you could spend £10 on a pre-packed meal for 1 and stick it in the microwave. Stayed at the Suitehotel, Marrakech for 3 nights and it had everything we needed. We had a suite with a double bed for my wife and myself and a single bed for our son. The room had a kettle, microwave and refrigerator which enabled us to store and prepare simple snacks during the day or evening if we didn't want to go out to eat out which meant we could be as flexible as we wanted. Quiet Location, nice room, but breakfast was very bad! The place Djema is distance 2 km... 20 minuts by walk! From the airport are 10-15 minuts of taxi... with the meter it's cost 60 diram, but it's really impossible that the switch on the meter... so you will pay around 100 - 120 diram...

We stayed at suite hotel mainly to experience staying outside the medina. The hotel is nice and fairly clean. The staff are nice and friendly and most speak good english. The breakfast which was included in the price was good. Its about 30 mins walk to the medina or 5 mins by taxi.watch out the taxis outside sofitel can charge stupid amounts just to go the medina. with a meter it should be about 7 dirhams to the medina or to the supratours bus station. When we arrived to Suite Hotel Marrakech 17.2.09 it was took only a few weeks after the grand opening. So not a wonder that all taxi drivers were a bit lost looking for this hotel. Everything was just like can expect for the brand new hotel: modern and shiny. Our room type was Quadrable suite that we thought beeing a little more luxury than a standard room. Stayed at the Suitehotel about 6 weeks after it opened. Had considered a couple of Riads but had not got a reply from any of them before I came across what may have been an introductory rate at the suitehotel. This was my first stay at a Suitehotel but I got the impression it was a standard room style across the chain. There was a tiny balcony attached to our room and an outdoor pool.
