Had a great time
Stayed at the Royal Caribbean in Late January 2005. Service was excellent , food was great and reasonably priced. The only problem we had was the temperature of the pool, so we took the shuttle to the Royal Sands. Overall , it was a great vacation and I would not hesitate to go back to one of the Royals.
Pools will now be heated
Pools will now be heated. Phase 1 pool at the Royal Sands is now heated and next year the Royal Islander's pool will be heated. 2006 the Caribbean will get a heated pool as well.
Can't get enough
My wife and I purchased a time-share at the Royal Caribbean pre-construction. It was the best thing we have ever done. The staff, the grounds, and the restraunts are great. It is very laid back if you want it to be, or you can get real active if you want. There are many activities that are offered everyday for free. The best thing about it, for me is, you don't have to leave the complex, they even have a small grocery store, unless you want to go on tours. The villa fits 6 people comfortabaly and are completely cleaned... more
Had a great time. Our 1st visit, but certainly not our last.
We booked through CheapCaribbean.com and spent a week at the Royal Caribbean in July 2004. The resort is great. The food in the restaurants was better than I expected and not outrageously overpriced. The rooms and the entire resort were very clean and well maintained. The beaches are beautiful and clean and not crowded. We made it clear to our timeshare contact that there was no chance that we were going to buy and she was very respectful of our honesty. We even showed up at a couple of the free events and she was very cordial... more
Great vacation. Lots of features. But be cautious of the timeshare pressure.
I would rate the Royal Carribbean 7 out of 10. We traded a week with Marriott Vacation Club to stay at the Royal Carribbean. The accomidations were not as nice as Marriott, but were very acceptable. Royal Carribean is between the Royal Islander and Royal Mayan. All three resorts are very similar in quality and features. The only difference we could see is different decor in the rooms and around the resort. Pros: Full feature condo with daily cleaning service. Use of 4 resorts. Several Restaurants and Bars to choose from. Tradewinds... more
GREAT PLACE TO STAY BUT A FEW PRECAUTIONS...
All the Royal Resorts in Cancun are lovely and the service is excellent. We stayed in the Sands in January and at the Royal Carribean last week. A few points to note about the Royal Carribean: * There is no onsite workout facility --- you have to take the shuttle which only runs every hour to the Sands if you want to work out. * Expect to walk ALOT. The hotel is on a hill and easily a 3 block walk to the road/bus stop. * Plan your flight to leave shortly after check out time --- the "hospitality room" is abysmal! We spent... more
Just great!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom with full kitchen and a great view of both pool and ocean. The resort was great and so were the amenities. We will certainly return!
Outstanding Vacation
I have stayed at this resort twice now during the month of March and highly recommend it to small groups or couples. The villa layout is perfert in size, clean, includes daily maid service and also has an on-site grocery store. You can't beat the weekly rental rate for this type of resort and service in Cancun. Pick this one, you will enjoy!
Royal Caribbean - a brilliant experience!
We have just returned from our honeymoon at The Royal Caribbean in Cancun. We had a fabulous time. The resort was absolutely beautiful, the grounds were well looked after and the whole resort was incredibly clean. We found all the staff to be extremely friendly, especially in the Tradewinds restaurant where the food was excellent, and also reasonably priced. Our sons had a brilliant time in the large clean pool and on the lovely beach. Overall this is a fantastic resort and is highly recommended.
A Royalty welcome
I am a time share member of the Royal Carribean Resort. Every year our stay is an unforgettable one. From the moment we arrive we are treated like royalty. Two thumbs-up for their hospitality, Thankyou Royal Carribean!! I look forward to being there next year to enjoy the red carpet stay. There are many activities on site for adults as well as for children. The simplicity of scheduling and booking our tours of the city is also very accessible and convenient. Thanks!!
