I really don't know what the other reviewer was expecting. Obviously hadn't done their homework before booking. Es Castell is more of a working town than a resort, no tacky tourists shops, great!

Advice: Go in early September when the fiesta is on in Mahon
Activities: Local bars/ restaurants. Would recommend Bar Isla and La Camacho
