Al Fassia Aguedal

This Riad is awonderful place. It is a mile or so from the Medina but go for the tranquility. We have never stayed in a hotel anywhere in the world that beats the welcome and care that the owners and staff give you. From the time you rise in the morning to the time you go to bed at night nothing is too much trouble. Everything is done quietly and serenely. The restaurant is fabulous and again the attention to detail and the ability to meet your requirements is tremendous. You will not be sorry that you made the choice to stay here!

We had a wonderful holiday at Al Fassia le aguedal. The rooms were large with a large bathroom a nd Myra and her staff were extremely helpful and friendly. As many others have previously mentioned the food is fantastic and ranked as one of the best restaurants in Marrakech. The hotel is a 15 to 20 min walk out of town and if you get a taxi it takes around 5 mins and costs in the region of £3 with haggling. What an ideal place to stay. Yes, it is a mile or so away from the hub of things but to be honest the road and walk that leads down to the centre of Marrakesh is rather pleasant. It's a nice little stretch for running if youre keen on doing some jogging. The hotel has a newly opened shopping mall very closeby, which is handy as there is a huge supermarket there to buy any goodies for your journeys out etc. The staff at Al-Fassia were simply superb. Situated between the airport and downtown Marakech.. this is a perfect place to stay... Ran by Myra (pronounced Mira) a charming english speaking lady who will give you as much space or help as required.. this is a little peace of heaven in a rather wonderfully scary city. A short taxi ride to the centre of town.. but far enough away to completely chill... and The Restaurant.... 10/10.. I would eat there every night if I were you... wonderful. We came here to escape the British winter at the end of February 2010, and enjoyed soaring temperatures up to 30C! Found it on Expedia but Thomas Cook packagae was actually cheaper in the end when booked with flight. We mentioned by email that it was our 1st anniversary and when we arrived we discovered we'd been upgraded to a suite at no extra charge! The women of the famous Al Fassia restaurant host a great hotel! Myra Chab and her team make you feel right at home in Marrakesh and provide a luxurious oasis to come back to while discovering the city and its sourroundings. This hotel is great value for money. Stayed here in October of last year for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. The place is relatively new but the service was outstanding. The welcome was extremely warm and our entire stay was tailored to our needs...we felt very pampered. The Riad was immaculate and beautifully maintained. The rooms were extremely spacious with beautiful fabrics and materials. I recently spent 3 nights at Al Fassia with my husband and his father. Previous reviews on expedia etc had said that the location was the only downside. We didn't even find this a bother. Infact, it was quite nice to come home to a quiet area after a day walking around Marrakesh. I think they are going to build more hotels in the area which means that there could be construction work going on in the future. We have stayed in Al Fassia Aguedal for 5 nights at the end of the year 2009. This hotel is a family owned small hotel. It has a very cozy atmosphere. The people who work for the hotel are very very friendly and we could relax all the time. One of the owners who speaks English, was very kind and friendly and listens to all the requests which we asked. They were very flexibe and had excellent service. We stayed in Al Fassia Aguedal 2 weeks ago and had an amazing time. The hotel was stunningly beautiful. The staff were wonderful - they couldn't do enough for us - nothing was too much trouble. While I've stayed in 5 star hotels in Europe which have had great staff, the staff here really stood out for their genuine warmth and friendliness as well as their professionalism.
