New hotel to the city, very affordable and friendly
PRO: very fairly priced, nice rooms, good beds, nice bathrooms, all brandnew as the hotel only opened some 6 months ago. There's a rooftop pool, a panoramic restaurant with Pyramids view and the staff is very friendly. CON: the only big con is the Pyramids Road on which the hotel is located, this is THE busiest road of Giza, one will enjoy watching the chaotic traffic of Cairo, other people may hate it, I personaly didn't mind as I sleep very well, no horning carr will wake me up!

Good Stay and friendly staff
We stayed at the Barcelo Cairo Pyramids for 3 nights in the first week of March. Our stay was very pleasant. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. Considering the hotel is on Pyramids street , which is a great location , the noise from the street was not audible in the rooms. The staff is friendly and always willingt o help. The breakfast served in the morning is standard and caters to everyone from omlettes to cereal to pancakes to Egyptian style food. However , my only suggestion would be to extend the breakfast hours... more

Warm Staff and Tasteful Decor
The Barcelo is a good hotel for business or short stays in Cairo. We stayed for one night on a tour of Cairo from Israel and it was comfortable. The breakfast buffet could have been better, but the staff was very friendly and the lobby has free internet and live music. In the middle of a very busy, loud city, it manages to be fairly quiet. There was a gigantic tour group there during our stay which sometimes made it hard to push through the large lobby, but our floor was pretty quiet and the beds in the room were very cozy. The hotel is... more

decent with some annoyances
Nice, big rooms, nicely furnished, good amenities.. but VERY noisy if you face Pyramids road due to bad architectural design of the hotel. You will absolutely need earplugs to sleep if you do face the street. Pillows were big and uncomfortable, but that is a personal opinion of course. No choice of pillow like some hotels have. No business center. We asked at the front desk to use a computer and were told nothing was available. There is a concierge desk with computer but we never saw anyone sitting there our entrie stay. There is... more

Dear guests, First we would like to thank you for your comments regarding your stay at our Hotel. This information is very important to us because it helps us to continuosly improve our service and adjust i to the demands of our clients. As you mentioned, there are some services that we are not offering yet, like the business center and the tour desk, because we are still finishing the annex building, which will also offer other facilities (swimming pool, fitness center and meeting rooms). But we do have free wifi in all the hotel, as well as, a heated swimming pool on the 8th floor with no entrance fee in order to compensate the lack of the services you mentioned. We do really apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you. We hope that you will give us the opportunity to be able to regain your confidence during your next visit at one of our hotels. Best wishes from Barceló Cairo Pyramids. Patricia Rodriguez Channel Manager

Best sleep throughout my Egypt trip
Hello all, this hotel is fantastic. we arrived from a 24hour trip from the UK and once we got to the check-in we asked if we could have a quiet room which they did without any extra charge. The bedroom very well decorated and clean, and the bed, wow, is the best mattress i have slept on and very quiet at night. The breakfast is the same every morning, however there is a large selection of food and we were very satisfied. The swimming pool area is nice there always someone there, besides from the evening, to provide you with... more

Nice hotel, nice staff, no sleep
We stayed at this hotel one night on an overnight trip to Cairo from a shore excursion. The staff was very pleasant and courteous, but spoke very little English. At first glance, it's modern and inviting. The rooms were a fairly good size with contemporary furniture. Everything seemed to be clean. No complaints there. We were exhausted and went to bed late from sightseeing. It just so happened that this was the night that Egypt won the Africa Cup and all Cairo and Giza was celebrating in the streets. The window was closed but all the... more
Good location
This hotel is a good place to stay, I stayed here for 3 nights. The room that I got is in the corner so the room is quite big. If have to comment the bad thing in this hotel are. 1. The twin bed (2 beds) is too small..smaller than usual. 2. The breakfast is same..should have some more food. 3. There are no pot in the room so if you want to ask for hot water you have to pay. The good thing is the hotel has a good location, you can walk to the shopping mall in 3-5 min. there are many shop and food or supermarket for you... more
a real pleasure
I was a little scared about choosen a 4 stars in Egypt but what a big surprise to dis cover this Nice and very elegant hotel. This is not my first visit to Cairo and belive that this Barcelo is much better than many 5 Stars and branded Hotels round there. Very clean, with nice and cosy outles and specially the Rest and Lounge on the 12th floor where you can see the Pyramids by sunset Go ahead don't and hope that you will enjoy it as I did
Lovely new hotel, excellent price.
Service was very good with a welcome drink on arrival and we were picked up at the airport. Rooms were stylish and clean. There were various restaurants, but a little pricey, (there is a McDonalds down the road, turn left out of the hotel and is on same side of the road). We could see the Pyramids from top of hotel, but not within walking distance. Room service was prompt and there was a lovely driver in the hotel called Himan who took us wherever we wanted to go. The pyramids road is very long and very, very busy - do not attempt to cross... more
much more than we ever expected
Barcelo Cairo Pyramids is really much more than we ever expected in Cairo. We booked it in a web site called Last Minute Travel for about 130-140$ a night (for a double room) and we thought it was quite over our budget but than again it is 4 stars rated and on the pictures it looked quite impressive. In reality it was even better. Hearing all kind of strange stories about other hotels in Cairo, we realized we were lucky to pick this one. It was of a high standard and I believe that it is important to find a good hotel, particularly in... more
