Clio Hotel

We stayed at the Clio following recommendations from friends who are long term visitors to Alykes. We found it to be even better than we had hoped and excellent value for its price range. The staff are almost all family members and are extremely helpful, pleasant and generous with complimentary extras such as fruit, nibbles and wine. The bar prices are very reasonable and there is a good daytime menu. I just got back from a quick break to relax on my own and the Clio was perfect, the family look after you when you need and leave you to relax when you want. The apartments were great and can't imagine anyone that could find fault. Perfect for anyone!!!

Having stayed at the Clio for the past 3 years most recently in August 2008 the effort and attention of Fotis and his family to give you the best service possible is the best ingredient for a very pleasant holiday. Contrary to some opinions the bed linen is changed every day and the hotel is kept spotlessly clean. It is no problem to Fotis and his family to supply extra playthings for the kids at the pool.Although in a quiet area of Alykes it is only a couple of minutes walk to the very good restaurants and bars and a superb beach.

What an absolutely fantastic holiday! I recently went to the clio hotel with my partner and my one year old son. When we arrived the family were so lovely that we all instantly felt at ease. We were given a complimentary drink and shown to our room. The room was lovely with everything you need to have a relaxing break. My (now) wife & I stayed in this lovely hotel in 2005 after the original hotel we had booked turned out to be a dump. The hotel is located on the SW side of the salt flats on a quiet back-road about 500m from the centre of the small town of Alykes. The family are very friendly and accommodating and always happy to help. They can organise scooter or car hire for you at very reasonable rates. The Clio Hotel in Alykes, Zakynthos is a small (20 rooms) aparthotel in a small and quiet, but touristy resort on the North-East coast of the island. The staff are incredibly friendly, and very hospitable. They will welcome you to the hotel with a complimentary drink before showing you to your room. We [me and my husband 48 & 50] stayed for one week at the end of August 2006. On arrival we were greeted with a drink and a friendly smile that lasted throughout the week from all the family at The Clio Hotel. The rooms are comfortable with a small kitchen area that we didn't need to use because the hotel made wonderful Greek salads and other selections. Air con is a must at €45 pw payable to the hotel. Just arrived back from Alykes on Sunday 9th July. Had a lovely time, staying in the Clio Hotel which is beside the salt flats. The hotel is very clean, quiet location and not too far from the main strip of restaurants, bars and beach (about 800m) or 10 minute stroll. A nice little (about 20 rooms) family run hotel. Me and boyfriend went to Greece for the first time. We had never been on a holiday on our own before this. The location was fab just a stroll to the beach and centre resort perfect for what we like to do. The hotel was lovely! Great Pool Bar and decent sized swimming pool. My wife and I have just returned from a one week holiday at the above location , and were very impressed with the kindness and of the all family staff nothing being to much of a problem. For us it was the ideal location , being only small (around 20 rooms) and just far enough from the village to walk to . I would add we have no connection with the hotel or it,s people having only met them for the first time , we will be back . Bob and Heather Boon
