Barcelo Jandia Mar

Just spent 2 weeks at the Jandia Mar and the whole family had a wonderful time. My 2 young children 7 and 5 were both crying at the airport as they didn't want to leave. We had 2 large inter connecting rooms with loads of storage space, we actually managed to keep both rooms tidy which is unheard of on our family holidays. Wonderful hotel with great food, rooms and service - and wonderful views from some rooms - but a long way down a steep hill and under a tunnel to the beach - unless you wait for the coutesy bus! walls of rooms a bit thin - can hear what going on next door!

Have just returned from a week here, if only we could go back tomorrow.... Rooms big and clean, we had interconnecting for the children. Yes you can hear next door but after being in the UK hotel industry for over 10 year I could name some good 5* Uk hotels that you could hear next door but one!!! Lovely Hotel,very clean,food excellent,absolutely great staff who worked very hard. Although the weather was really bad we still had agood time.The room and view from block six was good with some beautiful sunsets(photo enclosed) Now the iffi bits,please use the microwave in the dining room if your food is a bit cool the waitresses, hi there Clare, were most helpful.The hotel was very cold' made worse by the management even after loads of requests, not making sure the outside doors would close and also insisting that the air... more

Just returned from this hotel. Overall the break was very good but I have a couple of points to make. Firstly beware the floors. They are slippery around the pool area when they have been cleaned and around the water fountains and cleaning stations in the dining room. If you go in the winter months take a wooly if you are thinking of sitting in the upper bar, it is open to the elements down the corridor, there is no door and gets very cold. My partner and I have just returned from a 1 week Christmas break at this superb all-inclusive hotel in what we feel is the best resort on the island for people of our age group ("young" 40-somethings).The hotel sits in a commanding position on a hillside just as you come in to the resort of Morro Jable. Easy to find if you are making your own way there as the hotel's name is displayed so prominently (look up to your right as you pass the Iberostar).The hotel is plush inside and out. I have just returned from a week at the Jandia mar. I went there alone with the sole intention of chilling and indulging in the sun. The hotel was perfect ofr my needs. The weather was excellent and in the low 80's, so sunbathing was possible every day. I can understand how some guests have been annoyed at queueing for the bars and restaurant at busier periods of the year, but off-peak there was no problem at all. My family of 2 adults and 3 children aged 13, 7 and 5 visited Fuerteventura for the first time in October after having only taken a family holiday once abroad to Majorca. Having visited Tenerife on our honeymoon we decided to go back to the Canary Islands. We arrived at the hotel at around 10.15pm and were lucky enough to be allocated two adjacent rooms on a ground floor level and had our luggage taken down to our rooms for us by a member of the hotel staff. My family of 2 adults & five kids of 15, 15, 12, 10 & 22 months stayed here from 27th September to 12th October. First impression's were wow! Our flight had been delayed by 7 hours so we arrived at the hotel just before 1am. Reception were great and informed us that the restaurant had food layed out for us. We didn't have anyone to help with the luggage, but we'd always gone self catering and were used to dragging it all around anyway so it was no hardship, our rooms were very close to the lifts near reception anyway. We have just returned from the Barcelo Jandia Mar and have really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel was spotless and there was always someone cleaning . The rooms were very spacious and had good sized balconies. The food selection i thought was excellent. Sometimes from the snack bar the food was only warm not hot but its what i would expect, there was a microwave however if you did need to warm anything up.
