My fiancé and I had the most fantastic holiday at the Paraiso Beach Hotel, which only opened a year ago. The staff made us feel like family in the most impressive surroundings.
Our room was so lovely with great facilities and breathtaking balcony views.
The entertainment was great, especially Juanma, who sings amazing Spanish and English!
The restaurant food was first class with a great variety. What we liked most about this hotel was the tranquillity and the friendliness of everyone, especially Juan Antonio and Marianne, they are the most professional people we have ever met whilst making us feel so special, nothing was ever too much trouble.
We never needed any Thomson rep assistance as we had all we needed from the hotel staff who consistently strived to please! We cannot wait to book this fabulous hotel again and we would recommend it to anyone thinking of a luxurious get away.
We have previously stayed at Thomson gold properties but this hotel definitely beats any hotel we have stayed in.
A first class hotel with first class staff and we cannot wait to book again soon!

Paraiso was a great place to stay and relax. They have gone all the way to make us really enjoy our holiday. The new beach bar adds a lot to the fun as well. The cabanas are almost on the beach which was nice too.
Paraiso has a fresh sea food restaurant and an excellent chef who is very creative in her kitchen. We made snorkeling trips and went diving.
The reefs a pretty much unspoiled and you can see manta rays and nurse sharks.

This hotel is amazing, almost all the reviews we read before we went were positive and this hotel exceeds expectations. The staff cannot do enough for you and there are 5 a la carte restaurants which you can book in advance when you get there. I did get ill on the second day but the on site clinic was amazing.
Make sure you get holiday insurance though as treatment can be quite expensive. We went through Thomas Cook and the rep we had was very helpful, she went through all the trips and would arrange any additional trips out for you when possible if you wanted a night out in Cancun for example. The hotel is clean and the room sizes are large. There are shallow rivers all around the walkways with fish and birds in and peacocks walking around. Okay the peacocks were a bit noisy at night but generally none of the animals caused a nuisance of themselves.
The buffet food was very nice and if you do get bored of that there is a taco bar at night and other cafes as well as the a la cartes and the pool and beach side food places. This is definitely a place for families and honeymooners alike although it’s probably not the right atmosphere for a lad’s holiday or a stag do. The hotel is in a resort of 4 Iberostar hotels and the swimming facilities and restaurant are shared by the hotel next door the del mar.
You cant use the facilities at the Lindo and the Maya which are the other neighbouring hotels but you can go in their pools (there is a wave pool and a lazy river) you just cant get drinks at these hotels. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if you want trips out then Chitchen Itza and Tulum and Coba (Mayan ruins) Xel-ha and Xcaret (eco parks) and swimming with dolphins are fantastic. There is also a jungle tour for the more adventurous of you.
