stayed at the villa concha from september 11th to 18th 2006,from the brochure & web site the hotel looked very nice,clean & tidy.......don't let this fool you as it did us!! after one day we found ants in everyroom of our appartment,so i went down to reception to tell them and without any hesitation handed me a can of ant killer spray,it was if they were waiting for me to tell them,also heard other holiday makers saying they found ants in there beds!!it is no wonder the hotel as these problems because on the week i stayed it was only cleaned... more

Just got back from a week at The Villa Concha, great place to stay, First impressions mean alot as soon as u walk through the door you can see this place is a good accomodation to stay at, the reception is welcoming and bright as are the reception staff always smiling and willing to help. A safe cost 17 Euros for a week bit steep but worth it for the peace of mind. The Villa Concha is ideally suitable for families with young children. The area is peaceful but it is only 5 minutes to the beach. There are 3 pools of varying depths, the cleanliness of which were checked at least once a day. Getting a sunbed can be a problem in high season but that's not any different to anywhere else and you can use the chairs outside the bar to hang your towels while you swim if there's no room. We returned to the Villa Concha this year after a great time last year. The hotel is great for young kids, as we have two under five. The pools are very child friendly and the play area with swings and a slide is good also. We couldn't fault the staff at the kids club either,they seemed lovely,as were the hotel bar and restaurant staff on both occasions we were there.They work long hours but were all very pleasant and the service was good. Was really worried before I went on this holiday because of some of the comments particularly the ants problem. Requested a second floor room and did not see any of them throughout my stay. It was also my 9 year old son's first foreign holiday and he was really sad to leave. The restaurant and barr staff were lovely and friendly and could not do enough for you. Just spent a week here, weather hit and miss but apartment very clean and adequately furnished. The jmc Kids World 'Reps' were absolutely USELESS!!! I know it was the end of season but we had still paid good money. They couldn't be bothered with the scheduled activities and twice sent our kids back to the apartment stating they couldn't do the planned activity. When I visited te Villa Concha this september the weather wasn´t all good at all but the Kids world reps entertained our children to the max. Del the Kids World rep was fantastic at her job and thomas cook should be proud to have her working for them- she made our holiday. The kids loved the things she did e.g. dress up asa Mrs Blobby!!! We miss her a lot and the children The reception staff were rude and very unfriendly. the bar staff was the same. the location is exellent and well worth the money

My family and I stayed in a one bedroomed in the villa concha apartments from 24th september for one week. This was our second visit to this accommodation and they have deteriorated greatly since our last holiday there. The apartments are grotty and need updating badly, our bathroom was on the point of being disgusting - broken cracked tiles, stained mirrors generally very old fashioned. Water pressure very poor - shower appalling. A light fitting went on fire over the coach in the living area and had started to drip down on to the couch... more

We have just come back from a week staying at the Villa Concha and were slightly disappointed with the quality of the accommodation. Our apartment could have been lovely. It was spacious and for the most part very clean. The air conditioning was a big bonus. However, the apartment was in need of some upgrading. There was a big crack in the marble surround in the bathroom, the 'camp beds' were not the most comfortable, many of the floor tiles were chipped and the walls are paper thin. We were one of the parties diverted from the VC(as called by the JMC rep) by JMC after the storms which affected the water at the apartments. We were intitially located at the Habitat Apts which are further out of town but had 2 beds and were much quieter. It may be me but the VC was incredibly noisy in comparison. I know you can't expect a quiet holiday when there are kids around but the noise was at night.
