Stockwell Lodge

I am a single Mum with 2 children aged 9 & 4.Made many online enquiries with local B&Bs who all wanted a minimum of £70 for a family room except for Stockwell Lodge. Nicky (the owner) called me & said the most cost effective way to stay was in a double room with a single bed, if 2 of us were happy to share. Her words were "You'd be lost in our family room!". We paid £40 in total for the night.
On arrival we had a warm welcome & Nicky showed us our room. Nicky gave me fresh orange juice cartons for the boys as she doubted they'd want tea or coffee. The room had a kettle, tea, coffee, water bottles & biscuits.
The room was newly decorated to a very high standard. It had a double wardrobe, large chest of drawers & TV.
The ensuite was luxurious & huge! Supplied were shower gel, talcum powder, shower cap (boys loved these!), body lotion, cotton wool pads & they even have new toothbrushes just in case!
Breakfast was lovely & the honey was even from Nicky's Dad's bees!!
As a Mum travelling alone with young kids I was reluctant to stay in a B&B normally we stay in Travel Lodge or Premier Inn but I am glad we stayed here. My boys wanted to stay the rest of the week here!!
