on arrival we were put in a hotel room rather then self catering apartments ,when we told the staff they offered us the halfboard free as away of an apology (we declined as we had 2 children with us)the self catering apartments were big and all facing the swimming pools the maids came in every day for cleaning ,towel change or bedding.
we got sunbeds every day without fail and our children aged 9 and 5 loved the swimming pools and we felt they were safe.
the staff were all friendly and made you feel very welcome ,daytime and evening entertainment were very good.this is our second year to this resort but our first to the los delfines but not our last ,this was the best holiday we have had and the children cried when it was time to leave after our two weeks.

we stoped at los delfines apartments for the first two weeks of june 08,we are a family of 5 with 3 children under 10.
Our apartment was two bedroom, with a kitchen/living space combined which was plenty big enough for all of us and our lilo's and various other bits and peices we collected over ther fortnight,it had a dining table with five chairs and there was a toaster, kettle, microwave and a two ringed hob in the kitchen,a bathroom with a shower over the bath and huge mirror with a power point next to it and a large balcony which over looked the main pool, the bed rooms were of good size, with me and my husband in the one room and the three kids in the other, also ther was plenty of wardrobe space in each room.
our apartment was cleaned every day except sundays, they would bring fresh towels daily and the beds were changed every other day and our cleaner was very pleasent and friendly lady, and i cant fault the cleanliness of the appartment at all.
the entertainment at los delfines was fantastic too, every day there was entertainment for the kids and adults,so while the kids were being entertained by the hotels kids club people, there would always be an entertainer rounding adults up for games such as killer pool, archery, darts, water polo and much more, which was fab because the kids would go and play games, and so would my husband so id be left in peace to sunbathe.
The everning entertainment was great too, with something different ever night...the evening however would always start with a mini disco for the kiddies, followed by an act which could be anything from spanish dancers to knife throwers to bejing acrobats.....fantastic!!
Los delphines apartments are ideal for anyone families or couples with just a 5 minute walk from the one beach, and 10 minute walk to the other beach, but be warned neither of these are very big at all, but saying that they wer'nt overly busy while we were there.
it is also only a two minute walk from all the shops and bars, but it is still in a very quiet place,it's just out of the husstle and busstle of it all.
it also has the waterpark right opposite it which always seamed to busy, but was'nt a problem with noise and stuff, we did'nt go here as it was just to dear it would of worked out about £60 for us all to go as they charge for sunbeds and brollies 5 euro's and 3 euros respectivley and you cant take food in with you.
the weather was fab while we were there ranging from 24-29,
brilliant apartments
fab location
and fantastic weather would most certainly go back here.

These are great spacious apartments with either terraces or balconys. We had a balcony which was great as we could sit out there soak up the sun whilst keeping an eye on the kids as the balcony overlooked the main pool. There was 3 pools on site 2 big pools and 1 small round pool for children. The entertainment was great but was not to noisy at night like in previous places i have stayed. There was plently of entertainment set up throughout the day for the kids. There was always a life guard watching over the pool for your kids safety. There was a lovely pool bar which also sold hot food. There was also an inside bar/resturant which was very clean and modern. The staff were all very friendly. There was some great supermarkets near by. We had been to calan forcat before but we stayed at another complex. We definatly preffered this complex. We love the area calan forcat as it has a selection of small sandy beaches and has a wide selection of shops. We went off to another beach one day called calan bosch which was great and i would also reccomend visiting Citradella as it has some real traditional spanish touches. I am returning Menorca again this August and i am looking forward to it. The only thing i could fault about this holiday complex is the campbed in the apartment which a kid is expected to sleep on but it is very very uncomfortable and felt like it was about to fall apart. Overall we had a great time, this year will be our third time to calan forcat and im sure we will be returning year after year as we all love it there now.

We stayed at los Delfines, for one week, we are a family of 6, 2 adults and 4 children.
The apartment was very spacious, but the front door had a large whole at the bottom that was being made bigger by some little insects.
Huge balcony overlooking the pools. We had a good apartment as we could sit and watch the shows on the stage, when the kids had got to tired and gone to bed.
Not too far to walk to the restaurants and bars. Definitely take a visit to the square but get there early for a good seat, the only problem was by the time we found it, there was a band on that night and the next couple of nights it was all shut up.
All in all a nice quiet holiday, don’t go there if you want a bit more life though as there’s not a lot to do there.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the above. All in all, we have had a really good time. We went half board for 6 days of the holiday and the food was very good value for money, with a good choice for both breakfast and evening meal. The only small let down with this accommodation is the sun bed situation, they are chained up every night from 6pm, they are then unlocked each morning at about 8.45pm. Its a first come first served, with everyone scrambling for a bed! Having said that whilst we were there they did have an extra 150 new beds delivered, so that made it much easier.
The resort itself is lovely, make sure you visit Bar 61 Irish bar, food at Bianco's is ace, as well as Sa Caldereta which does lovely pizzas and omlettes. Don’t do Chinese - they are all rubbish even though it’s cheap, it’s very salty and swimming in grease!
We would definitely visit the resort and accommodation again, excellent value for money. Even though the apartments are basic, they are cleaned every day with fresh towels provided, make sure you hire a fan because the nights are boiling hot!
Great for families with young kids, all the restaurants have bouncy castles etc which are free for the kids; we have two teenagers so the choice wasn’t much for them; however they enjoyed the hot weather. Be aware however there is no beach, only a small cove with a patch of sand which might fit 6 people on! If you want a beach holiday then this is not the place for you, however if you want plenty of sun with a good variety of things to pass the time on an evening, then you will have a great time- We did !

Very friendly resort ideal for children. Entertainment great for adults and children. Apartments are great and clean. Weather was a bit unpredictable. Water park is a must to visit lifeguards around all pools if u go before 3pm it will cost u about 31euros but after 3pm only 9euros. Beaches are small but lovely and clean with clear waters. The black horse serves up a lovely breakfast for 5.50 euro. I really enjoyed my time there and will definitely book up again for next year.

Hotel apartments need to be updated, very smelly, we had lots of ants in the apartment, also cockroaches, not very clean, we had to eat out all the time.
We had a over flowing toilet for 3 days before they came to mend it, we also had 3 cups to last us with 6 people also asked for more which took 5 days to arrive.
Entertainment at night and day was good for children, pools were very clean, if you want a sun bed though you have to get up very early, as there is not enough for everyone.
We had to pay 58 euros for a safety box, also you have to hire a fan and toaster, which we think is not good. Lots of restaurants about, no big beaches though. We won’t be going back to los delfines, a lot of money for nothing, would not recommend to anyone.

Just returned home from Menorca, with family group, kids ages 16, 14 & 11, apartments clean but basic had toaster & microwave but didn't use much. Maid cleaned daily & left clean towels, beds changed every few days, needed this as very hot first few days. Our apartments were ground level over looking the pool, ideal, only problem was ants getting into cupboards had to double wrap everything & not spill anything!
Weather very changeable, you could wake up & it be raining with black skies but by 11.30am, it would be hot again with clear blue skies!
Found the resort had plenty of good eating places, would recommend Le Forum & Twiggy's (Fish & chips etc), best meals we had & suited all tastes!
Didn't see much of the hotel entertainment but the kids did & seemed to enjoy each night, we went to the square & saw groups in open bar area with stage in the middle best groups were 4 tops & 3 Degrees. Also did few quiz nights at the Irish Bar sixty one 61, best bar on the island, very friendly with Magners on draught & great music.
We all enjoyed our holiday would recommend anyone with teenage children as resort very safe at night, children came & ate with us, then went back to hotel met up with loads of other teenagers form all over country they had a ball!
Only rip off was sun beds at the tiny beaches 22 euros for 2 beds & 1 umbrella, if you like a beach holiday this resort is not for you as only 2 tiny beaches with at times loads of jellyfish!
Hired a car for the day wished had hired for longer, loads of coves to explore, & fornells was great place to visit, as island only small didn't take long to get anywhere.

Apartment we had was in dire need of refurbishment - very poor, and the family did not want to spend any time there. Our apartment was 3 up so not safe at all as the kids could easily climb over balcony as there was a step. But far better than ground due to heat as we had all windows and doors open at all times. No air conditioning or fans. We had to hire one. Too hot - especially at night in the Apartment. Also no toaster. Had to hire again. These should be free.
Room cleaned, sheets and towels changed daily that was good. Pool area and 3 pools were great. Life guard on attendance. Adult/child activities throughout the day were good, and there was a kids club midday and early evening daily in an air-conditioned room - also good. Went half board for 8 days in the hotel. Food was good and we found that more cost effective with 3 kids than eating out.
Eating in was not an option due to facilities. Pubs and restaurants catered for kids with bouncy castles, trampolines etc.. This left the parents in peace to enjoy their meal. Excellent. Entertainment every night with some good, some not so good. Kids played around the outdoor stage area and the 5-a-side park was next to the area. This meant the kids had a great time running around and you could relax. Kids had plenty of friends throughout and in general everyone got on.
What a laugh with the sun beds though. People were up at the crack of dawn queuing for a bed - pretty sad. There was even a fight over beds...in fact it got that bad that people were putting their towels in between the beds the night before as they were chained up. The resort itself . Cala 'n' Forcat I read is the most commercialised on the island. It was in desperate need of development. Run down and not much to see. Only a few streets of pubs/restaurants. Water park next door to hotel was good for the kids. I would recommend hiring a car and getting out of Forcat and seeing the island.
All in all I would not recommend the hotel or resort. I certainly would not go back to Cala 'n' Forcat but try other resorts on the island.

Excellent facilities, good all round entertainment for young children and teenagers. Activities set during the day and entertainment were put on during the evening. Staff based shows and some very good professional entertainment was laid on.
Apartments are basic but adequate for our needs. The staff were friendly and it is a good clean complex. Food and drinks available all day by the pool bar.
The resort was scenic and we enjoyed walking and exploring, especially the coves, (although we did learn not to take a pram) Food was excellent in all the different restaurants we tried. Also lots of shops for everyday items and souvenirs close by. Excellent bus service and taxis.

Just returned from two weeks. These apartments offer good value for money, the food we thought was excellent, paella some nights and chicken drumsticks, casserole, chips. The puddings tended to be cold type puddings.
Its better to go half board, and works out cheaper, when you work it out, rather than buy bits and bobs from supermarkets, also two cooking rings. Apartments were very clean, maids in every day to change towels and make beds. Wardrobes a bit cranky, great large balcony with table and chairs to sit on, overlooking the pools.
Little cove near by. Just follow the dirt path, this was fantastic for snorkelling, like being in a huge tropical tank, sea still warm. Car hire is cheap enough if you want to explore for a few days. We did for three. Anyway have a great time. Weather was gorgeous, we just had three days of rain, second week.

Excellent self-catering apartments in same complex as Los Delfines hotel in an excellent position near to all the amenities of Cala’n Forcat. Apartments were well equipped with daily maid service. Excellent pool area. Daily and Nightly entertainment by in-house staff and professional acts. Meals available in hotel dining room. Excellent choice of buffets for breakfast and evening dinner at price of 10 euros a day adults and 5 euros a day children.

Had a great holiday. Great for kids. Pool area lovely. Great location - restaurants/play areas/shops , not too good for beaches. The nearest one we found was a good 30 minute walk. Accommodation is in desperate need of modernisation and has got to include air conditioning. We really struggled at night as we hired a fan but it wasn’t enough.
