Wonderful Stay at the Bell Hotel!
The Bell Hotel is one of Tel Aviv's oldest family-owned hotels, and the daily operations are run by the family members. If you are the type of person who wishes to stay in a place with charm and character (and do not want a generic experience), the Bell Hotel is the place for you. My recent visit in July was my second visit to The Bell; I had stayed there last December (2007). I was very pleased with both visits and would not consider staying anywhere else in Tel Aviv. The Bell is located near one of the nicest areas of the beach, just... more
good place
It's a good place to live. It's near the beach, very beautiful.and the service is very good!the price is not expensive. i like living here.i wish the bell hotel good luck! you can go to the website to see it
was deeply disgusted by the Bell
every penny you pay here can be better spent elseshere. This hotel is beautifuly publicized but is nothing but a brothel... great breakfast!
Horrible hotel
Do not trust the pictures on their website! We occupied 4 rooms of this hotel, and none was of a nice standard. The two nicest were double rooms, apparently renovated not too long ago... but quite dirty and not well maintained! The triple rooms that we saw were between 0 and 1 star - horrible bathroom, very basic bedding & furniture... As for the environment, the hotel is very conveniently located near 'Jerusalem Beach', near the Opera Tower, and near 24 hours - convenience stores. But not the most upscale part of Tel... more
We liked it!
We liked The Bell hotel. It doesn't looks good from outside. When we arrived I thought we wouldn't stay there. When I've got inside and seen the room we liked it. We had one of the room they have on there web with HDTV and jakuzzi. Would be good if they will have fan in the room. Breakfast was simple but OK with us.
More than Happy!
The same as the last post, I was very unsatisfied with my current accomodation so went on a hunt for somewhere a little nicer and stumbled upon "The Bell Hotel". One minute walk from the beach, ok not the nicest of areas but in the very centre of all the nightlife, yet quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was clean, well equipped had a balcony and a beautiful sea view. I looked at few of the rooms before choosing the nicest one, it seems to be worth asking to choose your own roomthough as they really varied in... more
Better and Better
I came across the Bell Hotel by chance whilst walking towards the seafront and very much liked the look of the hotel compared to the others I’d passed. It seemed to be neither too big, neither too small, and extremely well situated in the centre of Tel Aviv and practically on the seafront. I checked in the following day and was very pleased to have done so. The rate was much better value for money than my previous hotel, my room was nice and cleaned every day, and the staff were discreet and professional. There was a typical... more
Enjoyed the bell
We had a very enjoyable time at the Bell Hotel. The people were attentive and pleasant, and we had no problems booking or with the rates. The breakfast was lovely and generous, and the location--for beaches, markets and public transport--is perfect. The food in the establishments around here can be expensive, but a short walk offers a wide variety of restaurants and cafes. No complaints here. B & J, Melbourne, Australia
Really bad
The web site looks beautiful and clean, but the hotel is really bad. They also changed the rate during the stay. It is located on top of a hooker bar in the worst corner of TA. Take care not to be mislead by the beautiful website they carry. This must have been fixed with many hours of photoshop.
Could do so much better
Well, it is all right but kind of run down with terrible coffee/awful free breakfast. Everything had an air of general fatigue, as though things had seen much better days. With a bit of work this place could be wonderful however. It's location is preminent and the people who worked there seemed very nice.
