La Bussola Hotel

My family have just enjoyed a wonderful week at this hotel. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was very clean, the pool was beautiful. As it is out of season they drove us and picked us up from a family friendly restaurant which had good food and was about 50 euros for meal for 4 including drinks and all courses. My husband and I were out visiting some days and my 2 teenagers were safe and cared for by the staff. The rooms were clean and fresh and had a balcony. It is my great pleasure to tell you how wonderful our stay at La Bussola was for seven days. The Restaurant, the beautiful Swimming Pool Area, and the transportation to and from the beach, along with spotless rooms and balconies with Ocean Views, alone, would have been sufficient for a wonderful vacation.In addition to all of this, the Staff and especially the Management were totally concerned with our comfort and pleasure. I can't wait to return.

Found the hotel by sheer luck. What a gem!!! LOcation was ideal, food was great . The hotel was spotless and the Guiseppi and the family could not be more hospitable. We had a great time and cannot thank Fabrizio, Joe and the family enough. We would strongly recommend this horel to any every one and we will back for sure!

Fantastic hotel. Fastastic family. Just returned from a 4 day visit to look at property in the area. From the moment we arrived they couldn't have made us more welcome. Fabrizio at reception was wonderful - our meagre grasp of Italian was not a problem as his English was very good. The hotel food was divine and nothing was too much of a problem. Capo Vaticano (Tropea area) is a perfect place to base a trip to Calabria. Highly recommended. Great hotel La Bussola. We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. It is very well located. The breakfast included is fantastic, the food is replenished constantly, no matter how late you straggle in, there was fruit and cereals, breads and hams and cheese, pastries or museli, yoghurt, fresh coffee, juice, milk, etc. Restaurant is fantastic and abundant. We loved this small family-run hotel. We were given 2 meals a day with the price of the room. Dinner was delicious, breakfast was pretty basic. We had a car so we were able to drive to some of the most beautiful beaches which were not too crowded. The hotel has a shuttle that runs to the nearest beach but in late August it was just too crowded there. Tropea is a 15 minute drive away. Vibo Valentia is about an hour if you want someplace a little more urban for shopping etc. There is little to do in the evenings except to retire or make a... more

I stayed with my girlfriend at the Hotel La Bussola for one week and I cannot say anything but that I have been overwhelmed by the experience. The hotel represents the quintessence of Italian hospitality and the relation between the quality of the services and the prices is outstanding. One has to try in order to believe it.
