Family members just stayed here for 9 days...Whilst basic, they were very very happy with standard of accomodation. Never heard them say a bad word. We went to their pool a couple of times, lovely, quiet, big and poolside bar till 4pm. Rooms were clean and tidy but basic, no tv, air con etc...but they said the management very friendly. Problem guests were swiftly dealt with by staff the following morning. All in all, a bargain of a stay!

myself and my partner have just returned from a week at the oasis d'or. the nice bits are- very central, lovely pool area, rooms cleaned nearly every day.
bad bits- no aircon so beware cos its stifling in the rooms, breakfast is rubbish, hotel is very dated and a bit like faulty towers.
cala d'or resort is lovely, but a bit pricey for drinks. would go back to resort but not to the hotel....................

My wife & I have just returned from our stay at the Oasis D'Or. I can honestly say we had a fantastic stay at this small & very friendly hotel.
The location of the hotel could not be any better, with bars & restaurants on your doorstep, along with a superb beach just across the road.
The accomodation is basic & very clean with ensuite bathroom & toilet, for me this is ideal as you only sleep & shower in your room, we had a balcony with a lovely view of the hotel pool, which we used every night with a nice bottle of wine.
We stayed b&b, which again was first class, with a variety of choices every morning, which set us up nicely for the day. The breakfast is served by a waiter (Mario) which always brightened up our morning, with his bright & bubbly personality whilst serving breakfast.
The pool area once again was spotless, with a pool bar & very clean pool toilets, we had no problem with sunbeds as there are ample for everyone, also the pool area has plenty of tables & chairs, where we sat with a nice jug of Sangria most days. We found the pool area quiet & relaxing, as I think most people used the beach just across the road.
The Hotel has an alfresco dining area for the evening, where we enjoyed the best paella we have ever had, which Maria had freshly prepared for us, with Mario (senior) serving the food & drinks.
I would recommend the Oasis D'Or to anybody wanting a brilliant holiday in Majorca, as this accomodation is so well situated, you can either have a relaxing peaceful holiday, or you can have a lively holiday, everything is so close by, you really are spoilt for choice.
The Sanchez family (Mario Maria & Mario junior) who own this hotel, are really welcoming & friendly, with nothing too much trouble, they really try & make sure you have a brilliant holiday & they succeeded with us & everyone else staying at their hotel.
Everyone we spoke to had nothing but praise, with most people returning to this hotel for years, I can see why they do & I certainly will return, in fact me & my wife can not wait.

One word describes our stay at Oasis D’or – fantastico!
On arriving for our two week holiday we were greeted by Mario senior who shook my hand and welcomed us to Cala D’or and his hostal, he then carried our cases up to our room and let us in and explained where things were.
There were three adults to our room and there was plenty of space for all of us to put our clothes and cases. The room had a balcony that overlooked the pool which had sun on the morning and shade in the afternoon, the room was very clean with maid service every day.
Breakfasts were excellent with tea, coffee and fruit juice, then choices through the week of bacon, beans, egg, sausage, ham and cheese, scrambled egg, salami and cheese all on toast all served with a smile from Maria and her son Mario junior.
The pool which is 15 meters long and 3.4 meters deep with its pool side bar were excellent, most of the time we had the pool to ourselves. The hostal location could not have been better, only minutes from shops, beach and bars. Only down side was no air conditioning or fridge. (You get what you pay for).
The hostal is small and very friendly and typically Mallorcan which is what I look for in a holiday, and I found it brilliant.
On our 0700hrs departure Maria got up early and made us a cup of tea before our coach arrived. We will definately be going back again and again.

Just got back from Oasis Dor Hotel in Cala Dor Majorca. We have always gone for the smaller family run hotels as opposed to the larger complexes. This one was no exception.
The Oasis Dor is a nice hotel the rooms are very basic but spacious and clean and are services daily and the owners and staff are very friendly.
The breakfasts are unusual, there is no buffet you have to have what you are given, but there was something different every day and were well cooked. If you have any special requirements then as long as the cook knows they will try to oblige within reason if you let them know with plenty of notice.
The hotel is very well situated only 2 minutes from the largest of the beaches in Cala Dor and the shops and restaurants are only 5 minutes walk from the hotel that are all excellent.
There is only one bad point but it is nothing that you will not get over. So Here goes.
The Hotel is on the main one way system into the town. It seems that at 5 pm the local youths crawl out of their homes and cruse up and down the road all night long on their noisy motorbikes and cars 9 not much different to home I guess). On saying that they do go home eventually.
The hotel is also on the edge of a residential area and the local dogs tend to bark at any little noise and once one starts then they all start. The wheelie bins are emptied every day in the early hours of the morning and as you can imagine are not particularly quiet.
To top it all the room we were in was below the water tank on the roof and every time someone turned on a shower, tap, or flushed the toilet there was a loud fog horn noise sounding for a while. This is not so bad in the day but at night it is a little annoying. I don't think that this affects all the rooms’ just room 111.
There are 2 Karaoke bars at each end of the road and the sound carries on the wind but on saying that it all stops at midnight and all goes quiet so if you like to go to bed early then forget it. My advice is to say out and enjoy the night yourself and go home at midnight.
The trouble is that there is no air con or double glazing so you have to leave the windows open or you will cook. My advice is to take some ear plugs drink plenty of alcohol and you will sleep like a baby.
Please don't let all this noise thing put you off it’s a good hotel in a great location and there is never a scramble for the pool with no towels on the beds before dawn. Also there is no coffee or tea making facilities in the room so if you like a late night cupper then take a travel kettle with you. Enjoy.

For a simple, family run, traditional 2* hotel the Oasis d'or is to be recommended.
Comfortable, clean, friendly and lovely breakfast. Nice bar and terrace area for drinks/meals open to the public. Pool is good but not a large lounging area. Very close to beach and all amenities.
Don't expect all mod cons and room service - the beds have clean sheets and are comfortable, and you have an en-suite - ours included shower over bath, and bidet as well as the usual wc and basin.
Our room was very large with ample storage and hanging space and I think most rooms have a balcony, ours had a large one overlooking the front of the hotel, and as this overlooks the main road, could at times be a little noisy. It didn't encroach on our sleep or enjoyment but it could disturb very light sleepers, which is how we know - they told us!
