Fantastic!
If chic is what you're after, Rafayel is well worth a visit. With a spa, gym, restaurant and much more all under one roof, I will definitely be staying again. The room was elegant and comfortable with the attention to detail and quality very noticable. I had a fantastic time on New Years eve in the bar/restaurant, the food and presentation was immaculate, and the excellent and very friendly service topped it all off!
Chic and eco-friendly
I stayed at Rafayel and dinned in its restaurant, Banyan, for xmas eve and nye. The food itself was triumphant. Added to the chic and cool ambiance of the restaurant, Banyan is set to achieve many accolades. I stayed in their largest suite. The decor is very crisp and state of the art. It caters well to the descerning business traveller. I expect Rafayel to blossom into the summer, given it sits on the bank of the Thames. I can just imagine sitting on their terrace basking in the sun, dining al fresco. The staff are also very helpful, polite... more
Space and luxury uncharacteristic of London's more traditional hotels.
Good value for a luxurious offering on my short visit to London. I'd paid a similar amount for cramped four or five star hotel rooms in central London that I wasn't used to. I prefer boutique hotels as I feel the service is a bit more personal and the attention to detail in this hotel could not go unnoticed. I'd stay there again.
Good value New Year celebrations London Hotel
We had an enjoyable stay in the Rafayel abeit we were in the soft-start phase of the hotel. Things that didn't work well but no doubt will do soon were the keys and the heating controls. Staff were helpful but perhaps not always in control. Car parking was by valet but this seemed fine. There were very few LED lights in the hotel; our room was entirely compact fluorescents with one halogen. Not a problem for a hotel unless you make energy efficiency and LED bulb specifically a unique selling point. Things that weren't quite... more
Ravishing, Romantic, Relaxing, Receptive - RAFAYEL
Fantastic - the rooms are spacious with exquisite furnishings, carpet and superb large bathrooms; ours (on the 2nd floor corner) had a wonderful full view of the river. The hotel has only been open for a week or so, therefore we did expect that there may still be some 'snagging' items (always is with a new build!), however the maintenance team were very proactive. We stayed for three nights and found it very comfortable. The location is convenient for Knightsbridge/Kings Road and the courtesy chauffered car to Sloane Square was a most... more
Kudos to Hotel Rafayel
As soon as you walk in, you can tell this is no ordinary hotel and this feeling was kept alive throughout the stay. The hotel room was spacious, well kept and impeccably styled. The decor was contemporary and was of a very high standard – I have even borrowed a few styling tips myself. I recently dined at the in-house Banyan Restaurant which has a beautiful sweeping outline beside the river. In the night the views from the restaurant were particularly beautiful. In terms of the food, it was far better than expected – their 6 course... more
My hotel in London for future trips hands down
What a find this was. I obviously did nto know this hotel before (it' s been open very recently) so i was a bit skeptical,. But as i arrived , my woes were gone. The location is much more convenient than i thought initially. Clapham Junction tube just a short walk away. But the best thing about Rafayel is the size of the rooms, much bigger than hotels of similar rating in London; the staff, excellent, efficient and friendly, and of course , the views and location, fantastic. I was there ofr business, but will definietly chose this... more
a three star with glitter
A new hotel which has all the potential to be at the pinnacle of fine accommodation. In a fantastic area, just a short walk away from Clapham Junction tube station, which makes it easy to get around. However the positives are fairly short lived after checking in and once the initial shock of being bombarded with television screens has worn off, I began to feel as though I had been deceived by the obvious self proclaimed 5 star rating. As soon as we arrived at the room the problems started, the key card failed to work, in... more
Well beyond my expectations
Very impressive, will be more so once all the services are go after 8th Jan,2010 as the management asserts. No gimmicks, this is seriously eco friendly hotel. I will revisit once the SPA is on.
Luxury and style; affordable and classy; conscience and conscientiousness
Real creativity, admirable philosophical intent behind its birth, trendy, chic, elegant and oh-so-urban, Hotel Rafayel on the Left Bank seems set to carve a place in the upper echelons of the hospitality industry. The hotel was an instant attention-grabber with its green philosophy with the offer of several eco-friendly features like the use of LED lights, recycling of paper and glass, harvesting rainwater on the terrace of the hotel, electronic newspapers , organic and natural products used in Spa… to name a few. Hotel Rafayel has a... more
