Stayed at the Sentido for one week, really enjoyed it. Beautiful hotel, a little bit tired in places, but overall terrific. Staff, as always in Egypt, professional, thoughtful and good at their job.
Only 2 drawbacks, (1) not many fish to see when snorkelling (2) long drive from Hurghada airport.
Nearer airport at Marsa Alam recommended.

Beautiful setting, lovely room just ruined by the "animation" team. Hotel is used by many nationalities which is great, just the constant noise and screeching by the Italian entertainments team took a classy destination and made it into a holiday camp. If you want to ensure a quiet time ensure you ask for a room in the British wing, and stick the pool on that side (over by the dive school/fish restaurant) we were offered a transfer after complaining. Buffet was great and we enjoyed every meal. Wouldn't bother with the A la carte or the fish restaurant experience, we tried both. Drinks are experimental and diet coke was like gold dust, staff just need more experience in bar tending, and gerneral customer service, all the hotel staff are very enthusiastic just lack training and hotel experience. Hotel is very isolated but that suited us. Would be nice if one of the pool bars opened in the evening for quiet drinks rather than having to watch the kids entertainment.

The hotel was very impressive. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and their English was excellent. The food was lovely and there was an incredible choice. The location was stunning but it is a long transfer from the airport. The hotel is right on the beach and the sea was 28 degrees. There was so much to see whilst snorkelling, it was fantastic, and the sea is so shallow when the tide is out that it is ideal for little kids. There is alot on offer that is all inclusive including a haircut. I think the best time to go would be in June before the hoards of tourists arrive. We went at the beginning of July and the first three days were lovely and quiet but then the French, German and Italian Tourists arrived and it became much busier. However I would say do NOT use the dive centre they are expensive and my son broke his arm on their boat.
