We have just returned from another super break in this lovely villa, as usual the villa was spotless and in perfect order. We spent the most fantastic 10 days in Casa Millie-mai and will definitely be back. The weather was perfect and we bbq most days. The games area was great for the kids and we also took advantage of the game set indoors, as usual mother is the Trivial Pursuit Champion ! Having stayed in lots of villa's all around the world we all confirm Casa Millie-mai is our favourite. See you next year

Stayed at Millie-Mai with a couple of friends for an extended weekend break!
An easy drive from the airport and once you've done your initial shop there's no need to leave the villa.
The pool is large and secluded with lots of sun loungers
The villa itself allows you to have time together and is large enough to have time out as well
Whether you're like us a bunch of girls looking for a quiet getaway or family time I couldn't recommend Millie Mai high enough
;)

OMG, what a fab break, everything a mum could ask for!
The only thing that Glenn did not provide was the ear plugs I needed listening to my children's excited squeals as they ran from room to room :)
This is my third villa break and by far the best.
1. The villa is large enough to give all the family space to enjoy individual pursuits but contained enough as mum to know the kids are safe. (I sat by the pool reading whilst the kids explored the gardens and played in the games area)
2. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped there was some lovely china for the evening meals and the poolside bar/kitchen provided all the plastics for bbq's and eating al fresco.
3. All rooms were air conditioned (upstairs runs on a separate system)
4. The added touch of providing board games were a great winner as they allowed the children to escape from the sun and still have fun.
5. For those with older children bedrooms split over two floors would be godsend allowing for independence and quiet / noisy time as appropriate.
6. I can't close the review without mentioning the pool, whether you want a lively family splash or a relaxing float the pool had it all.
7. If privacy is what you want then the whole property is enclosed by a beautiful walled garden.
We were very fortunate with the weather most days were at least 40 degrees but with everything the villa has to offer I would be happy to consider returning in the cooler months and using the villa as a base to explore the surrounding areas.
During our stay we visited Murcia Old Town, make sure you take your credit cards as shopping is a must and a camera as the Cathedral is beautiful.
The kids loved the aqua park which is about a twenty minute drive (tip, ask for the free next day return when buying your tickets).
We also drove to Alicante for the day (about an hour), going into the sea was like soaking in a warm bath. If you hire a car and have a free day this is an absolute must. The Paella along the seafront is delicious.
All in all I think what ever your needs for a break in the summer sun or a winter get away Casa Millie-Mai has it covered!

This is our fourth visit to this splendid villa and each time we have enjoyed more than previous years. It's lovely seeing how the gardens have matured and being able to pick fresh lemons for our evening g and t's just completed the scenario.. The villa is ideally located in the countryside, however close enough to the local shops and amenities for some tapas in the bar's. Our kids loved the pool and were in it morning, noon and night and when they tired of that there was the games area where they were able to play pool and flick football. Loved it and will be back again next year without a shadow of doubt!!.

I was more than pleased to have booked 'casa millie-mai'. It was huge, immaculately clean and furnished in a very contempory style.
Everything you need was there, pizza in the fridge and wine and beer for the first night, it felt relaxing from the minute you walked through the gates.
The swimming pool, pool table and football table kept the kids entertained the whole week.
Watching the sunset over the mountains is just amazing.
This was the best holiday villa I have ever stayed in.
The villa owner was superb also, nothing was too much trouble.
If you are looking for the most relaxing holiday, in the best accomodation, then book 'casa millie-mai'.
I have recommended it to all my friends and family, and will continue to do so, I just hope they do not all want to book at the same time...

Boooked through Villarenters.com. This villa hire holiday turned into a disaster. No water for the first 4 days then we returned from beach to find the electricity company had cut off the power due to a non payment of bill. The owner was unhelpful and we had a sorry time of it. Beware. The website allowed an honest review, however the owner was able to remove the review. Watch out!!

Management response from Glenn, Owner 30 Aug 2010

As the owner of the property, I sincerely apologise for a less than perfect holiday. The guests arrived and the villa was in perfect condition. Unfortunately, during their stay, the pump supplying water to the whole of the urbanisation broke and was unable to be repaired for four days. This affected the whole site, not just one particular property and every effort was made to restore the supply. However, the matter was in the hands of the water authorities. The villa is situated in rural Spain and unfortunately, unlike England, repairs are not instantaneous. With regard to the electricity, the problem was caused by a surge in power which blew the main fuses into the house. The electricity supplier was immediately contacted and an urgent service request was raised but again, unlike mainland England, in rural Spain, fixes are not immediate and may take days or even weeks. As an interim fix, a neighbour provided electricity direct from their property which provided the villa with limited power. Obviously the situation was not entirely satisfactory and the guests were offered a fifty per cent refund on the cost of their holiday. Unfortunately, they deemed a one hundred per cent refund the only acceptable recourse and despite negotiations, we were unable to come to a satisfactory conclusion. It is easy to write derogatory comments and indeed I understand the frustrations and anger caused by situations beyond my control. However, every effort was made to rectify the situation as quickly as possible. Again, I sincerely apologise for the situation that occurred during what should have been a perfect holiday. This was a one off incident and as can be seen by other reviews has never happened before.
