where do i start hmmm too many italians, the whole hotel more or less, after 2wks they drove you mental !!! Food - ok but mainly catering for italians, if you dont like pasta, rice, veal, aubergines you have a problem !!! Don't listen - go and enjoy - its fabby!!! After evenutally finding reviews on this Hotel and reading them, nearly cancelled the holiday - boy that would have been a mistake. Golden Sharm is an Egypitian owned Hotel with its General Manager being Italian. this hotel is italian owned the staff in the resturant, pool and the guys that do the rooms couldnt do enough but the system is an absolute joke all inclusive means full board at this hotel unless you go to the bottom pool bar that is in the 18 to 30s section which was all itialan and the entertainment was crude . there was only one resturant not three as was advertised no beachside location you had to get a free bus . there was my husband, son and myself (son 17 ) all in one room paid for three adults son had a camp bed the drinks were in... more

I'm quite surprised by some of the reviews. I agree that all the staff only spoke Italian but I liked the fact that I was left alone. The only annoying thing about this was that I couldn't book any trips or activities.I tried to but the reception staff did not understand me and I didn't see our rep once. Holiday from hell!!! The food is awful, The rep was rude and un helpful and only intrested in commision on trips... he will hound you and keep ringing your room if he sees a slight interest or will hunt you down by the pool.. Most of the hotel went down with a tummy bug - the english and italians were all ill - due to the disgusting and under cooked food! It is mainly russian and italian here. Do not book to stay in this hotel, unless you are wanting a 2 star maximum accommodation, where reps and staff ONLY speak Italian!! Not only that, the Italians that are there, are on a 18-30's holiday - this is what the hotel is designed for. So if you are wanting a quiet, ralxing break away, you get totally the opposite here!! I stayed for two weeks at the Golden sharm had a lovely time but was very disappointed on arrival as it was beach front location which it said it was on it's own webstite. The hotel was very clean and modern. The room were nice and spacey aswell, with air-con. I stayed all inclusive which wasn't brilliant as most things wasn't all-inclusive and you could only get drinks from one bar, which ran out constanly. We will never return to this hotel or recommend it to our friends. It is a Italian owned hotel and is geared up for Italians only. All the entertainment day and night is in spoken in Italian.
