Highly recommended
from Wannabyourhero
I've had two short breaks at St Brides and wouldn't hesitate to return. The hotel has been completely renovated in the past few years and the rooms are all fresh and clean. I've stayed in the 'old' part where the rooms have been designed into the space, while interesting shapes they are a delight to be in. The bathrooms are excellent. The restaurant has an amazing view over the sands, it's a superb location. My visits were a year apart but on both occassions the food was excellent. My initial reaction was that the menus were a bit fussy...

Newly renovated rooms, cosy, and great views
from A TripAdvisor Member
Had a lovely ocean view room. The room itself was very warm and cosy with Tetley tea service, I forgot just how good the standard Tetley tea was! If you can swing it by all means get an ocean view accommodation, we could stare directly at the water from our bed. The matress itself was nice and firm and the room had a nice sized television as well as a full chaise lounge at the foot of the bed. Nice full bath and large relaxing tub. We would not hesitate to return again, in fact, we plan on it!
The service was spectacular
from Lisa73
My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday. We spent 3 days here and we have stayed in hotels all over the world, and have never come across service this good. The staff anticipated your every need, almost before you did, and were very pleasant. The food was incredibly tasty, and the menu varied. The hotel had been refurbished, and was very modern, but tastefully decorated, it didn't feel like a chain hotel. The room was beautifully decorated, and there was a great view of the beach from the balcony. Saundersfoot...

Wonderful Views
from PoppyTT
We stayed here for a wedding in August and had a wonderful time. The hotel has just been refurbished so everything is very clean and new. The room was beautiful with dual aspect, massive comfy bed, good quality furnishings and a luxury bath room. The views over the bay where breath taking and created a perfect setting for our friends that were getting married. Highly rate this hotel. Would love to go back again!!
Lovely Relaxing Place to Stay
from Ginge57
We stayed at this hotel this last weekend (1-4 Sept) having found the St Brides' through this site. It was, as described, beautifully refurbished in a lovely modern seaside New England style. As previously noted by other reviewers the carpark is still not finished but that caused us no problem at all. When we checked in, we noticed our room had an odd smell and when we contacted reception about it we were immediately moved to a better a room which was larger but no smarter than previous room we had been given. The rooms are...

beautiful restaurant
from welshbelle
My family and had an excellent Sunday lunch at the St Brides earlier this month. It was the first time that we had been to the hotel since the refurbishment work started and what an amazing transformation there has been. What used to be a pretty ordinary seaside hotel albeit one with amazing views has been transformed into a stylish contemporary one with a great restaurant and wonderful works of art on display. The interior is quite unlike anything else we have been to in this part of the world. Our meal was excellent, the...

Stylish, modern, cool, expensive but popular. A lesson to other hotels ...
from BJephcott
It is now nearly a year since we stayed in this inspiring hotel, and sadly we will not be able to return next month as it is fully booked on the dates we wanted! And yes it is really a bit too expensive. But I thought at least I should get round to writing a review, it deserves it. This hotel is a wonderful place, not perfect, but such a bold statement of ambition it deserves to succeed. Pembrokeshire's stunning vistas and light deserves hotels which are more like this and less like Fawlty Towers quite frankly. It is stylish, modern...

Not worth the money
from claudio10
The hotel was still undergoing refurbishment work and there was a JCB in the front of the hotel and a lot of lorries coming in and out of the main driveway which was also very rough and dusty. Rooms were very small expected much better considering the very high prices! Breakfast was nothing special no freshly squeezed juice or fresh fruits just basic. On the plus side the hotel was very clean and had nice views overlooking the bay from the restaurant. I do not think the hotel should be charging full whack prices while it is undergoing...

Beautiful with a But
from A TripAdvisor Member
This is a lovely-looking hotel which has been tastefully refurbished. The decor and the view are outstanding and the staff are very friendly. BIG BUT - there were things that concerned us. It's still being worked on which means the car park is shabby and there's scaffolding on the hotel itself - and there's not even a sign showing the entrance is indeed the entrance to that hotel. We were put in a nice room which unfortunately had an annoying buzz from the electrics box in the closet - they moved us promptly, albeit to an even...

Perfect for chilling out
from ConstantTraveller_8
This hotel is undergoing a total renovation and although they're still doing the main restaurant, they had a marquee which was nicely decorated and a pleasure to eat in. We had a really nice meal on the first night and the a la carte menu was good with lots of choice. The breakfast was good as well with hot buffet and plenty of cereals and fruit. The rooms which have all been decorated are gorgeous with pale, calming decor, widescreen LCD TV's, beautiful bathroom. The bar had lots of comfy seats and sofas and was perfect for chilling out...

I was unlucky enough to stay in St. Brides Bay Hotel duing Sepember 2009. The plus points (hence a mark out 2 out of 10 as opposed to 1 out of 10) were the food, pricey but good and the friendly staff. The big problem was noise, despite having being upgraded to a so called... more
