We booked one week at the Tower House but should have stayed longer. Our welcome on arrival really brightened up a grey, wet Saturday afternoon. The cottage is extremely well-appointed and appears no expense has been spared in the quality of the furnishings. It is very clean and comfortable. The welcome basket, containing fresh home-baked bread, fresh eggs, tea, coffee & a bottle were a delightful surprise and most appreciated. The Tower House is a good base for touring the surrounding area with it's stunning scenery. Ed and Wendy are superb hosts, nothing is too much trouble, Wendy even gave us instructions on how to light the wood-burning stove in the cottage. This was a real bonus when arriving back as the weather was not too warm. Fresh fish, caught by Ed, was also a welcome bonus. All in all a true value for money experience with the added bonus of getting close to nature by feeding the most friendly pigs and chickens ever encountered.
