very large site catering for static caravans, touring caravans and tents.
We arrived on site at 4pm and at 6pm we were at the local accident and emergency dept as my 13 yr old had dislocated his clavical.Initially thinking this was an unfortunate incident soon changed as all the hospital staff knew we were from park albatros and all were of the same opinion that the pools were very dangerous.
The doctor on site at park albatros who treated my son the next day for pain relief also was under the same impression of how dangerous the pools were.
The pool complex consists of one swimming poom with a depth of approx 4ft which you could not move in due to the crowded way in which it was allowed to become.The other three pools were splash pools approx 10 inches deep with large mounds coming out of them which were suitable for the under 5s, although the pool attendants( if you could call them that)
allowed adults,teenagers and children of all ages, as young as toddlers to all be allowed at the same time to take inflatables to the tops of these mounds and slide down onto the waiting crowds trying to climb up.On reposting this inccident to the reps on site again not surprised on our report of the pools.These were young adults who should not be in the possition of dealing with serious heath and safety issues.
We spent the next 2 weeks watching the "shuttle ambulance",taking 10s of other victims off. Te site was scattered with braces,plaster of paris,collar and cuffs etc.
This site is not warning children and their families of these dangers.
