i stayed here last year and loved it.we went again august this year,asked for a quiet room which we got,only had 2 neighbours for about 4 days out of the 2 weeks and only knew that cos of washing on balcony.
never heard any noise from the pool or bar when the windows were closed
1 downside air-con made a right noise,so just switched it off when we wanted to sleep
breakfast -dont know,we never up in time but plenty places to eat,and so cheap
one of the best bars is marbella,my friends of 16 years george and marina own it,cross thru mini golf and your there
cant wait to go back in may and august 2011

I have just come back from a week in bulgaria and stayed in the fenix hotel.
The staff are extremely friendly will do anything for you, before i had heard they were rude but quite the opposite, i think when i arrived i had the best room in the hotel, very spacious 2 beds and a sofa bed and 2 bathrooms, cleaners were excellent, everday towels were changed. if you do decide to come request a pool view as my view was brilliant and able to see the ocean in the distance. Dont feel you cant take anything from the mini bar becaus its really cheap unlike alot of hotels in sunny beach.
The food is ok, breakfast isnt brilliant but for my holiday i was never really up in time to have any but evening meal is alot better, something different each night and a vast choice.
There are a few foreigners but mostly a english hotel which is nice. bar in hotel very cheap 2lev a beer etc.
On the whole i would recomend anyone staying there.

my husband and i have been to the Fenix numerous times now over the last 6 years. We find that the people there are very friendly and extremely helpful and also very honest. You hear alot about people getting broken into but its never happened while we have been there and we have visited at different times of the year. Sunny beach is a beautiful clean resort with entertainment for all aspects of anyones holiday, be it relaxing or living it up.. there all kinds of different quisines for you to try and the food is always cooked fresh for you..The food in the fenix can be repiticious because you get beef, pork and chicken every night, but you also get a choice of other dishes so you can mix and match and try things you havent had before. There is always a good choice of salads and cooked meats and cheeses, plenty of fresh fruits and desserts. A holiday is what you make it yourself but at the Fenix its made extremely happy as you feel relaxed there .. I would recommend this Hotel to anybody which i have already done. Happy Holidays xxx

This hotel was fantastic. The rooms were spacious and the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms had mini-bars, air conditioning and a balcony. Rooms were cleaned every day. The pool was large and sun beds were available free of charge.
The hotel is in a great location - the beach is across the road and the hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants. The resort centre is only a few minutes walk away.
I moved to this hotel a few days into my holiday as I was originally staying in Hotel Pomerie which was shocking. Although these two hotels are next door to each other, they couldn't be more different. I would definitely recommended Hotel Fenix and would return there myself.

Just returned from here and can now understand all the mixed up reviews on this hotel. On the positive we found the rooms, bedding, hotel towels were clean (towels changed every day and bedding twice a week) The air conditioning in our 2 rooms was lovely and throughout the hotel. We found the staff very friendly and they always fussed around our little 5 year old daughter which she loved. The location is ideal for the beach as its literally just over the road. My daughter loved the kids club and the girl who ran it was wonderful with them all. There wasn't enough sunbeds and I'm ashamed to say that I was one to get up at 7 to reserve sunbeds as we tried lying on the grass the first day but were bothered by enormous ants. Unfortunately the food was dire. We ate out most of the time and one of my sons never bothered coming down for breakfast because even the toast tasted different to the toast served in the local restaurants(rock hard). 2 days before we were due to come home we tried the restaurant in the hotel for the last time and all spent the next day in the room with sickness and diarrhea. We had to travel home like this and my doctor has , after hearing our symptoms has said it sounds like gastroenteritis. We are still suffering.
