Great holiday camping in Ardeche with Canvas. Tent well equipped and toilet blocks spotless. Plot a bit cramped, more room please! Site would have been idyllic and peaceful had it not been for the dozens of Dutch kids whose parents ignore there noisy, rude behavoiur (including wandering around our tent) and state 'they're kids they can do what they want!' Pool small but excellent and well run. Takeaway limited to mainly pizza. Friendly with nice food, if not a bit pricey. Shop inadequate and extortionate!
Direct on river,fish, frogs, bats etc, which made this site so special. Went canoeing down gorges. BE WARNED very dangerous. We have canoed many times in France but never experienced these kind of rapids. Nearly drowned. Think before embarking on this activity. But a stunningly beautiful place to die!
